CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
When the ignition switch is turned ON, battery positive voltage is applied to the coil, closing the contacts of
the EFI main relay (Marking: EFI) and supplying power to the terminal +B of the engine ECU.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PREPARATION:
E1 +B
(a) Remove the 3 bolts from the engine ECU. (See Pub. No.
RM558E)
(b) Turn the ignition switch ON.
CHECK:
Measure voltage between terminals +B and E1 of engine ECU
connector.
OK:
A18210 Voltage: 9 − 14 V
NG
2 Check for open in harness and connector between terminal E1 of engine ECU
and body ground (See page IN−20).

3 Check EFI main relay (Marking : EFI) (See Pub. No. RM558E).

PREPARATION:
(a) Remove the lower finish panel.
(b) Disconnect the ignition switch connector.
CHECK:
Check continuity between terminals shown below.
OK:

6 Check for open in harness and connector between ignition switch and EFI main
relay, EFI main relay and body ground (See page IN−20).
