IVMS RAG REPORT

MBPS IVMS system tolerances are based on OGP

(International Association of Oil & Gas Producers)
standards, recommendations from IVMS provider
and consultation with Clients/staff.
RAG Definitions :-
• Harsh breaking (recorded when vehicle’s speed dropped by >12 km/h
within 1sec or less) (recording tolerance = 0sec)

• Harsh Acceleration (recorded when vehicle’s speed increased by >10 km/h

within 1sec or less) (recording tolerance = 3sec)

• Seatbelt violation (recorded only when vehicle’s speed > 10 km/h and seat
belt sensor shows that it is not fasten) (recording tolerance = 15sec)

• Over speeding in Blacktop/Graded (recorded when vehicle’s speed crossing

the max allowed limit 60/80/100/120 km/h) (recording tolerance = 15sec)

Oman map is geo-fenced according to road types, so there are zones for 60,
80, 100, 120 km/h. whenever vehicle runs in specific speed zone, the IVMS
unit will automatically amend the max. allowed speed accordingly and play
alerting buzzer whenever driver exceeding.
 RAG Calculation
Over-Speed Score = ((Speed time/10) / trip Distance) * 100
Acceleration Score = (No. Of Harsh Acceleration Occurred / Trip Distance) * 100
Deceleration Score = (No. Of Harsh Breaking Occurred / Trip Distance) * 100

Total Score = Over-Speeding Score + Acceleration Score + Deceleration Score

An example explaining the above>

A vehicle travelling 500Kms/hr does 5 harsh breaking events, 3 harsh acceleration events & 4seconds of over speeding.

Speed score = 4/10 = 0.4/500 = 0.0008*100 = 0.08

Acceleration Score = 3/500 = 0.006*100 = 0.06

Deceleration Score = 5/500 = 0.01*100 = 1

Total score = 0.08+0.60+1 = 1.68

RAG = 1.68
