Main railway stations undeniably contribute to the

vitality of growing metropolitan areas. They act as
interchange hubs between urban and inter-city rail
services. Passenger rail provides a dependable response
to the challenges faced by a territory regarding mobility,
force of attraction and sustainable development.

The main station is a complex object; whether in new

build projects or station modernisation, its role is to
provide intelligent responses to the key issues of flow
management, security and comfort conditions, the
intelligent management of facilities and services and the
quality of the different spaces.

From feasibility studies to the development of new

services and facilities as well as the complete range of
intermediate design and project management phases,
Egis offers a fully comprehensive range of services.

The aim of the GPE network is to make travel easier between and
around the main Parisien suburbs. Line 16 will run between the Saint
Denis Pleyel station in the North and Noisy-Champs station in the East

rail

The Montpellier-Sud-de-France station is situated on the new line which bypasses Nimes and Montpellier (CNM).
This line is an essential stage in the project to complete a high-speed line between Paris and Barcelona.

Located in a rapidly-developing area south of Montpellier, the new station is in fact a huge transportation hub
offering connections between passenger rail services and the tram network as well as other ground transportation
modes. Designed as an elevated station spanning eight railway tracks, it offers a 3,500 sqm concourse devoted to
retail and services. With an open, airy design and a roof which controls the light entering from outside, it blends in
harmoniously with an innovative environmental project.
