III. Course Description : This is a 3-unit course which talks about theories and ideas underlying the Philippine Administrative System; the general structure of the Philippine
bureaucracy; its principal operating features, including the personnel system, the financial system, the processes of policy-making, national-
local relations and major problem areas.

VI. Course Outcomes : Upon completion of this course, each student should be able to:
Describe the administrative system of the country;
Learn additional theories in Public Administration;
Examine the Philippine bureaucratic structure;
Scrutinize the processes in the bureaucratic system of the country;
Learn the ideas in the era of New Public Management;
Analyze the problems concerning the government institutions;
Critic how government assess and solve the predicaments concerning national welfare
Express and share ideas and/or opinions regarding the current issues in the country relevant to public concern; and
Establish an updated profile of the Philippine Administrative System.
