The most crucial part at early plant design process are to place the equipment’s and other
facilities at the plant. The design of plant layouts aims at achieving a minimum quantity of
materials handling, reducing bottlenecks, minimizing machine interference and also
increasing flexibility, safety and the morale of employees. A well-designed plant layout must
include emergency routes. Therefore, an emergency response plan can be performed if
incident happen.

GENERAL EMERGENCY RESPONSE PROCEDURE
1. The situation happens when the alarm in the plant area is ringing.
3. Coordinate outside emergency services, such as medical aid, the local fire
departments and law enforcement and ensuring that they are notified when
necessary.
5. Help move employees and others from danger to safe areas during an emergency.
7. Check offices and bathrooms before being the last person to exit an area and ensure
that the fire doors are closed when exiting.
8. Supervisory personnel called ambulance and fire fighter department for further
action.
