English Conversation Example about Family
Tiara: Hi, Intan. How are you?
Intan: I’m fine, Tiara. Thanks. Tiara: I saw your timeline post on Twitter yesterday. You posted an old photo of four kids with their parents. Is that your family? Intan: Yes, that is my family. It was taken when I was 3 years old. Tiara: It looks like you have a big family? Intan: Not really, there are six people in my family, my parents, my two brothers, my sister, and me. Tiara: So you are the youngest child in your family? Intan: Yes, I am. What about you, Tiara? Do you have any brother or sister? Tiara: I am the only child in my family. Intan: Really? How does it feel to be an only child? Have you ever felt so lonely? Tiara: No, it’s just fine. I never feel lonely because I have two cousins that live nearby. They are like my own brothers and sisters to me. Intan: Lucky you. I rarely meet my cousins because they live in different city. Tiara: I think you are luckier than me. You have siblings to share. Intan: Ha..ha.., It’s not always like that Tiara. We sometimes quibble over trivial things that actually it’s not really necessary and quarrel with each other opinion. Tiara: Well, at least you still love each other, right? Intan: You’re right. No matter we how upset I am with them, but I always love them because I spent my most of my time with them. My parents are working outside the city, so they rarely come home. Tiara: What your parents do? Intan: My father is a soldier and my mother is a journalist, she works in one of national news media, ZonaNews. Tiara: They must be hard workers and dedicated parents. Intan: What about your parents Tiara? Tiara: My father is a carpenter; he crafts various types of good furniture. My mother is an elementary teacher, she teaches biology at one of the local schools. Intan: You are so lucky that you have parents who have enough time to spend with you. Tiara: You’re right. I think family is the most valuable thing in the world. Although they’re not perfect, but we know that they always love and fight for us. Intan: That’s so sweet of you Tiara.
