Introduction
& Time
In the introduction teacher will check their Prior Learning by asking them
same questions.
5-10min
1-What is fraction?
Teacher will say, today lesson about who to model decimals and fractions in
hundred and tenth chart. In three easy steps.
First steps: count how many blocks are colour in the chart. The easy
way to count that we know is a hundred chart so in one line we have 10
blocks, list see who many lines colour all that many is ten,6 lines are
colour all that many we have 60 blocks and 6 all together 66.
Second step: writ the fraction for this chart, make a line, what is my
denominator the whole part 100, and what is my numerator, how many
The third and last step: we going to write a decimal .66 is part of 100 so it
will be in right side we don’t have ones a whole part so we will put 0 then we
will put our decimal, after that we will write our parts is 0.66
Teacher explains, tenths will be one number because 10 has one zero
hundredths will be 2 numbers because 100 has two zeros.

Main activities
& Time
students will complete this activity. Fist students have to find decimal for the
fraction and write it down, then model it in the 100 charts for example, the
fraction is ,then students write the decimal 0.22 and the model it in the
chart, students will color 2 tenth and 2 ones.
Students will use live worksheet. First students have to see the chart and
count the blocks and write the fraction than find the decimal for the fraction.
For example, students will count how many tens they have and how many
ones they have, then write the fraction, after that write the decimal.
