Q:1: What human resources management steps did lamia Chowdhury


take to help get Roseate Paint Bangladesh Limited back on the right
track?
Answer 1: Following HRM steps Lamia should follow to get back on the
track for the company:
1.Leadership Skills: Lamia should have good amount of leadership
skills. The ability to direct and contribute to initiatives and process
within the organization. From this case we can see that The Company
has some issues regarding the compensation plan, ethical practice etc.
So, considering the situation Lamia should use her leadership skills to
handle the company situation.
2.Ethical Practice: The ability to integrate core values, integrity, and
accountability throughout all organizations and business practices. As
we can see from the case that earlier the Board Of Directors did
corruption did unethical practices and for these kind of practices
Companies outer people perception is not good. So, Lamia should
address more ethical practices in the organization in terms of hiring,
compensation plan, performance appraisal etc.

3.Relationship Management: The ability to manage interactions to


provide service and to support the organization. Lamia is a executive
director of the company so she have maintain a relationship with the top
level management and with the lower level management as well. So, she
needs to provide the information accordingly along with managing
relationships from the Very Top to Low rank of the organization.

4.Consultation: The ability to provide guidance to organizational


stakeholders. Example: Lamia have to provide guidance to the
company’s stakeholders for long run benefits.
5.Performance Appraisal: Lamia should make performance appraisal
strategies for promoting employees. So that employees got motivated.
6.Compensation Plan: Compensation plan is something which supports
the employees health benefits, safety and fairness concerns. Lamia made
an compensation plan for the employee.

Answer 2:From my point of view I think that Lamia took appropriate
steps for the company.
1.Hiring a new management team: Lamia hired a new management team
which is good for the company. Through the help of the new
management team they can make good compensate policies, HR
practices and performance appraisal and so on.
2.New Compensation Plan: As lamia was earlier worked on
compensation plan so she can make good compensation strategies.
Compensation strategies is something which supports employees healh
benefits and safety. So the employees will get motivated.
