    PILOT UNITS & PILOT TESTING

    INTRODUCTION
    On the basis of revolutionary silicon carbide technology, LiqTech International A/S develops, manufactures
    and globally markets ceramic UF & MF membranes for filtration of liquids. As an additional service to our
    customers, LiqTech offers standardized and customized pilot units for trialing our SiC ceramic membranes.
    The pilot units can be purchased or rented on a monthly basis. LiqTech has a growing fleet of units which
    currently consists of more than 30 pilot skids. The units are conveniently located at our sales offices and
    distributors around the world and we can therefore service our customers fast.

    WHY DO YOU NEED TO PILOT TEST?


    It is a well known fact that all membrane technologies must be trialed for a period of time before going to full
    scale. The purpose of the trial is to determine the performance of the SiC membranes and obtain process
    data such as flux, permeate quality, operational settings and cleaning intervals and methods. These data are
    crucial for ensuring easy and reliable up scaling of the membrane technology. LiqTech develops the test plans
    in close cooperation with our customers.

    PILOT UNITS AND ENGINNERING SUPPORT


    The mobile pilot units are designed for on-site testing of the CoMem and CoMem Conduit elements which
    include a variety of SiC ceramic membrane standards: round Ø25mm, round Ø146mm and hexagonal
    elements in standard market lengths. The units are made of components from the leading process
    equipment suppliers (Siemens PLC and transmitters, Bürkert valves and Grundfos pumps). The units are fully
    automated and offer remote operation and monitoring as well as data-logging. LiqTech’s test and membrane
    specialists are available for start-up of pilot tests as well as operational training.
