The Imposible Dream

by Andy Williams

To dream the impossible dream

To fight the unbeatable foe

To bear with unbearable sorrow

To run where the brave dare not go

To right the unrightable wrong

To love pure and chaste from afar

To try when your arms are too weary

To reach the unreachable star

This is my quest, to follow that star

No matter how hopeless, no matter how far

To fight for the right

Without question or pause

To be willing to march

Into hell for a heavenly cause

And I know if I'll only be true

To this glorious quest

That my heart will lay peaceful and calm

When I'm laid to my rest

And the world will be better for this

That one man scorned and covered with scars

Still strove with his last ounce of courage

To fight the unbeatable foe

To reach the unreachable star

EXPLANATION

The Idea I chose that is applicable in the analysis of Rizal's Biography is the third
stanza. Because Rizal finds a way to achieve his dreams. Even though he felt
hopeless and away from his family. He made it an inspiration to achieve what he
hoped for. When he was in Berlin he wrote Noli Me Tangere representing the
state of life of the Filipinos at the hands of the Spaniards. He wrote down all the
abuses that the Spaniards did to the Filipinos. He fought what he thought was
right. When he wrote his novel he did not hesitate to back down because he was
ready for what might happen to him even if its replacement was death but
lifelong peace.
