B. Course Objectives and Learning Outcomes
1. Course Description
The course is designed to provide an applicable knowledge and skills that offer more practical
experience, that help students develop the competencies necessary to enter the health care
profession, and continue their professional development as competent health workers
throughout their careers. This course is designed to help the students to demonstrate &master

their skills with the common & or serious obstetrical problems
2. Course Main Objective
 Apply the basic clinical knowledge and skills, in follow up of normal pregnancy and labor.
 Acquire competencies necessary for diagnoses and management of different obstetric
disorders.
 Acquire the appropriate basic knowledge and skills to attend obstetric emergencies.
 Perform some minor operative obstetrics procedures in skill lab.
 Acquire lifelong learning competences necessary for contentious professional
development.

diagnoses, best investigation and adequate treatment for Obstetrics and
