    1. Introduction:
    This method statement describing the outline procedure to be followed for Durotex
    Stone & Texture to be executed at Hospital Project at Sitapur.

    2. Scope of Work:
    Durotex Ston &Texture Finish work on Building.

    3. Reference and Standard:


    This document should be read in conjunction with technical specification and approved
    drawing for execution of work at site.
    4. Work Programme:
    The Durotex Stone & Texture work shall be carried out in accordance as per proposal.

    1. Durotex Stone &Textured Wall Finish

    7. Methodology:
    7.1. Surface Preparation
    Remove all loose, defective paint or powdery residues, loose chalk, dust,
    fungus, algae and foreign matter. Treat any areas affected by fungus growth with
    Fungicidal Wash Solution. Repair cracks, uneven surfaces with suitable exterior grade
    fillers. Smoothen the filler areas with sand paper. Surfaces to be painted must be
    cleaned thoroughly and dry, it must be free from dirt, grease and other foreign
    matters. Allow all surfaces to dry completely prior to painting. Avoid painting when
    the moisture content and alkalinity of the walls are still high (Recommended painting
    specification requires, the moisture content of the walls to be below 16% measured
    by protimeter and alkalinity of the walls to be below pH9.)

    Remove all flaking, loose, dust & foreign material. Make sure that surface is
    even & dry. Avoid application when the moisture content and alkalinity of the
    surface are high.

    7.2 Cleaning
    Clean up equipment with water immediately after use.

    7.3 Application Method


    6.3.1 This paint is readily use after stir
    6.3.2 Apply by special trowel or spray gun depending upon the depth and pattern
    of finish required to be done.
    6.3.3 Applied by special trowel, traditional foam roller or special honeycomb roller
    depending upon the depth of texture required. Texture may be patterned or sculptured (if
    desired) in a wide variety of designs.

    8. Health and Safety:


    1. All the workers shall wear proper personal protective equipment(PPE).

    2. All the workers & staff personals shall be trained well in works to be executed
    especially at height & precautionary & corrective measures to be taken for the
    same.
    3. All the workers shall be trained and safety induction shall be imparted to them
    before the commencement of work at site.

    9. Daily tool box talk shall be carried out for mutual understanding of work.
    5. A competent site supervisor shall be present at all times during work.
    6. A first aid kit shall be provided in site office.
    7.Keep material (polybag) tightly closed and keep out of reach children or away from food
    and drink.
    8. Ensure good ventilation during application and drying.
    9. When applying paint, it is advisable to wear eye protection.
    10.In case of contact with eye, rinse with plenty of water immediately and seek medical
    advice.

    11.Remove splashes from skin by using soap or water.


    12.Paint must always be stored in a cool place.
    13.When transporting paint, care must be taken. Always keep in a secure upright position and
    never use hook or sharp objects during transportation.
    14.Dispose off any paint waste in accordance with the appropriate Environment Quality
    Regulations.
    15.Remove splashes from skin by using soap & water.
