7.1 Linear cell ceiling shall be made out of Aluminium. The assembled cell ceiling panels shall be in size of 600x1200.
The assembled cell ceiling panels shall made out of main blades in 3mm (W) x 20mm (H) in 1200mm (L), installed at
30mm c.c. and cross connected to secondary blades in 9mm(W) x 22mm (H) in 600mm (L) with 375mm pitch. The
assembled cell ceiling panels are then clipped into U-94 carriers in GMS, coated in black enameled finished at
1200mm c.c. Wire clips shall hold the cell ceiling panels into the U-94 carriers. Once the U-94 carriers are installed
then primary angles made out of GMS, type U1040 are cross connected to the U-94 carriers at 1200mm c.c. for lateral
bracing The whole ceiling shall be suspended by M6 threaded rods installed 100mm c.c. All panel modules must be
hinge able through wire clips. Or Equivalent as directed by E-n-C.
7.2 Hook on expanded Metal Mesh Ceiling in 1.2mm GMS. The ceiling panels shall be in size of 600x 600mmx 1.2mm
(thick) galvanized mild steel and Mesh size shall be 20(Length)x10(Width)x2.5mm(Web Width) x 1.2mm( Thickness)
having open area more than 55%. All panels are hooked onto a secondary grid known as U1005 installed at 600mm.
A primary grid of perforated L- Angle in 30x30x1.2mm thick galvanized steel known as U1040 is installed
perpendicularly to hook on profiles at maximum centers at 1200mm. The entire ceiling shall be suspended with M6
threaded rod using Hilti M6 fastener with minimum load of at least 0.5kn per anchor. The system should be in
accordance with Material class A2-s1, do according to EN 13501-01 “non-combustible”. Or Equivalent as directed by
E-n-C.
7.3 S4 linear custom made Multi perforated CNC Cut hook-on ceiling System. The panels are made to
1200(L)x500(W) manufactured out of minimum 0.6 mm thick GMS and hooked on the shorter side. Panels has to be
powder coated in selected RAL finish with minimum 60 microns paint thickness. Panels has to be CNC cut Multi
staggered perforation ranging from 40-60mm dia holes in special designs approved by architect having acoustic
tissue at the back with minimum 0.5 NRC. All panels are hooked onto a secondary grid known as U1005 installed at
shorter side of the panel to ensure individual demounting of panels for easy accessibility of services . A primary grid of
perforated L- Angle in 30x30x1.2mm thick galvanized steel known as U1040 is installed perpendicularly to hook on
profiles at maximum centers at 1200mm. The entire ceiling shall be suspended with M6 threaded rod using Hilti M6

fastener with minimum load of at least 0.5kn per anchor. The suspension system shall be as per manufacturer
specification. The panels shall include the site cutting / making openings for services e.g. lights for information boards,
smoke detectors, speakers, diffusers, grills etc Or Equivalent as directed by E-n-C.
7.4 “Braided” metal open ceiling single blade open cell ceiling system manufactured from 1mm thick perforated
aluminium blades pressed together. The panel shall have cell size of 33.33 x 33.33 mm. The assembled ceiling shall
be in size of 600x1200 made out of single blades in 1mm (W) x 40mm (H) having perforation of QG 3.5 x 3.5mm and
open area of appx 90 % . The ceiling panels shall be clipped into U-94 carriers in GMS, coated in black finished at
1200mm c.c. Wire clips shall hold the cell ceiling panels into the U-94 carriers. Once the U-94 carriers are installed
then primary angles made out of GMS, type U1040 are cross connected to the U-94 carriers at 1200mm c.c. for lateral
bracing. The whole ceiling shall be suspended by M6 threaded rods installed 1200mm c.c. The panels shall be fully
downward demountable / hinged from the proprietary U 94 carrier section using C 94 spring panels. The system
should be in accordance with Material class A2-s1, d0 according to EN 13501-01 “non-combustible Or Equivalent as
directed by E-n-C.

3. Insertion: 3.0 Design Mix Concrete from RMC or Batch Mix Plant (Page 80 of NIT Vol. I)
3.7 The following measures shall be taken by the agency to increase the life cycle of RCC. These shall be in addition
to “crystalline” mentioned on Page-93 of NIT Vol.I.
3.7.1 Cathodic Protection to Steel using Sacrificial Anodes conforming to ASTM B 418 Type II
Sacrificial Anodes Cathodic Protection (SACP), using Sacrificial Galvanic Anodes, shall be installed on the
reinforcement bars. The Anodes shall have the Conformance to ASTM B418 Type II and Zinc Mass of minimum
40 grams per anode. The calculation of number of anodes and their spacing on the reinforcement mesh shall be
min 1 anode installed every 0.5 sqm of steel cage surface area in all below ground re-inforced elements as well as
steel dense sections like columns, beams; and at the rate of 1 anode every 1 sqm in all above ground slabs.
Providing and fixing zinc alloy based galvanic disc type sacrificial anodes (50 mm dia, 18 mm thick) to the
reinforcement. Manufacturer should have TPI certificate from TUV or equivalent internationally reputed TPI
agency for compliance to ASTM B 418 Type II, min. Zinc Content of 40 g per anode, and pH of encasing mortar to

be min. 12. The product shall pass 500 hours salt spray test as per ASTM B 117. Application shall be done as per
the manufacturer’s instruction, complete as directed by the Engineer in charge.
(Approved Make: GRACE /SUNANDA /BASF)
3.7.2 Steel Protection using corrosion inhibiting Admixtures conforming to ASTM G 109
Non-nitrite based bipolar concrete penetrating corrosion inhibiting admixture shall be admixed in all partially
underground structures, underground tanks etc. at a dose of minimum 3 Kg per cum. of concrete. The admixture
should be accredited by any Government institute/body. Admixture should have evaluated test reports
demonstrating a corrosion rate of zero coulombs after 45 test cycles as per ASTM G 109. pH of admixture should
be highly alkaline in nature with pH>10.5, specific gravity of 0.99 – 1.05, color: light brown.
(Approved Make: GRACE /SUNANDA /BASF)
The lift core shall be constructed in steel structure. However, if proof consultant for structural design appointed by
CPWD, find it necessary, only then RCC core may be acceptable, provided bidder ensures no impact on completion
time of project.
Intermediate columns to break the long spans shall be allowed subject to the recommendation of structural proof
consultant engaged by CPWD and approval of CPWD Architect. From internal side, steel frame or any other part of
steel structure/member should not be visible. It shall be properly covered with the similar material as of internal walls
or false ceiling.
The soil investigation report attached in NIT Vol IV is indicative only. The values of allowable pressure intensity
mentioned in the soil report is for preliminary design only and the agency shall use their own findings before carrying
out the detailed design by conducting extensive geotechnical investigation as per IS code.
