● Why is sexuality, self-expression and power important to women’s rights?

These factors are important to women's rights as they are factors that women have
been oppressed for, for decades. Sexuality, self-expression prove to be a source of
power for women as it something very personal to them. The idea is that they should
be proud and confident of who they are in all aspects. These ideas are important to
women's rights because it empowers them and builds their confidence by developing
a community that allows them to be who they are.

● What is intersectionality? Explain in detail.

Intersectionality is a theory that states that explains the idea of discrimination

through various ways such as race, class, caste and gender. These combine and
affect the level of discrimination and privelledge one faces. For example, a black
lesbian women in America would be more discriminated and marganilized against as
compared to a black man, or a black women. This is because there could be a
combination of factors that affect the way one experiences life. So, each identity that
is formed which strays away from the "norm" has the chance to experience forms of
discrimanation based on the amount they are diverted from the "norm". Is provides
insight onto how discrimination occurs everywhere and one should not have to be
confined, and can identify as more than one thing. This creates new challenges and
inhibits the liberty of many people around the world.

● What is the importance of cultural representation?

Cultural representation is important because it allows for people to feel a sense of
belonging to a particular group of people. It allows for a collective voice and
practices to take place which is imperative to forming a community.

● What is the purpose of all the hashtags mentioned at 0:58?

The hashtags mentioned at 0:58 are past movements that have shaped and affected
the third wave of feminism. Hashtags represent the third wave of feminism by
allowing the audience to understand the presence the third wave had not only in
person, but a significant online presence which also contributed to the feminism
movement.

● Pick specific images/visuals used in the video that you feel are both funny and
add meaning to the understanding of the first wave of feminism.

All images and visuals during the 41st second of the video were funny, yet added
meaning to the third wave of feminism. This wave was focused on womens
sexualoty amongst other things. These images are significant because they allow us
to understand what women were standing for, and how during the 3rd wave, there
was a focus on gender fluidity so a "woman" does not necessarily have to feel or look
like one just because of social norms or pressure. These images emphasise this
point and allow the audience to understand the importance of the 3rd wave of
feminism.

● Comment on the use and efficacy of the songs.

This song is energetic and upbeat with a female singer who sounds very rebellious-
contributing to the empowerments and power of women, which correlates to the
significance of women's rights and equality. The song relates to the idea of being
free and not being confined to a certain place (metaphorically) which links to the idea
of women having the same freedom as men.

● Do you think there will be a fourth wave of feminism? If yes/no, why do you think
so? If yes, what do you think will change/be added that has not happened in the
first three waves?

While I think that there is still a long way to go for gender equality, I do think that
there will be a growing focus and movement on body positivity rather than feminism
per say. I think this because through social media and an growing online platform for
manipulative images which causes people to desire an attractive look 24/7. This is
present in both men and women so I think that this movement will be very helpful and
allow for a better judgement and understanding of allowing people to be accepting of
themselves and others, which links to the ideas of feminism throughout all waves.
