II. Narrative / Executive Summary

As President Duterte himself has said that he won’t be allow students to go back to school until it is
safe or a vaccine becomes available, the Department of Education has developed the Basic Education-
Learning Continuity Plan (BE-LCP) and schools are directed to implement blended/distance learning
modalities where lessons will be delivered to the students in their homes.
In the blended/distance learning modalities, DepEd will utilize online learning resources such as its
learning portal, called “DepEd Commons.” The DepEd said it will also continue to pursue various distance
learning delivery modalities, one of which is online learning.

Connecting with students is one of the most rewarding aspects of our profession. The TLE
Department with the help of our Head Teacher I, Loreta V. Victoria, scheduled the Online Synchronous
Teaching to us TLE/TVL teachers. My lesson in TLE Synchronous Teaching is all about “Waste Management
Hierarchy", we started the session at exactly 10:40 am in the morning and was attended by 4 students,
observed by the head teacher of TLE Department Ma’am Loreta V. Victoria.
The discussion started by video presentation about 3R’s. Through a Classin App, I make sure that
the lesson will be interactive and fun experience to our learners. There’s an active participation and
creative way to communicate with the students using different type of tools in Classin app. After the
discussion, I gave two different type of quizzes. The student presented their answer on their monitor. And
at the end, I instructed the students to answer the “Student’s Reflection on Online Synchronous Teaching”,
The session ended at 11:15am.
