Daily Activities Calendar
He/she Shall start out door work at 8AM for a minimum of 2 hours in the ward secretariat area and must

identify/Inspect
1) Under / Un Assessed Properties and initiate action for Revision/ Assessment
2) Inspection for revenue services like Vacancy remission, Title transfer etc.
3) vacant lands and assessment of VLT
4) New trades and collect trade license fee
5) Collection of Property Tax, VLT, Water charges, other Taxes and non-taxes.
6) Overall Supervision of Ward Volunteers work.
7) Serving of Demand notices, Special Notices or any other notices as and when necessary.

AT SECRETERIAT OFFICE
9) Monitor Attendance/bio metric every day by 10.30 AM.
10) Shall report late attendance to higher authorities
11) Conduct Spandana daily at Ward Secretariat.
12) Maintain Leave register & other related registers if any
13) Shall monitor outdoor visits of other secretaries through movement register.
14) Collection, Generation and sending Daily reports to Higher Authorities.
15) Remittance of Cheques (Cash if any) at ULB Office/any other designated place/Person designated by the
Municipal Commissioner on the same day.
16) Handbook should be Maintained
17) Attending RTI with in the time limits prescribed
18) Court Cases, SC/ST/HRC/Legal issues by maintaining registers and Coordinating with Municipal Standing
Counsel.
19) Shall record the tappals on the day of receipt itself and distribute them to concerned secretary on the same
day with due acknowledgement and see that all secretaries process files as per rules and in time.

Season Activity

Summer season • Focus on uniform distribution water to all areas, and tail end areas through piped
(March to June) supply and through water tankers.
• Special care to avoid water contamination by pipe leakages, shifting of taps, crossing
of drains, etc.
• Establishment of "Cooling Water Centres" (Chalivendram)
• Providing Temporary shelters during Heat wave period.
• Providing Open Water Tubs for Animals/Birds.
• Focus on Water Quality tests to maintain the Chlorine levels in supplied water.
• Desilting of major out fall drains.
In addition to the daily activities, the Ward Amenity Secretaries shall perform the Specific
activities during the season, as per the priority
Rainy season • Readiness for clearing of blocks in the drains by keeping available with Diesel Pump-
(July to December) sets/Motors to avoid inundation of low-lying localities.
• Focus on Water Quality tests to maintain the Chlorine levels in supplied water.
• Monitoring of Turbidity of water
• Specific Water Tests such as e-coli, to prevent water contamination.
• Immediate action for removal of fallen trees during heavy rains.
In addition to the daily activities, the Ward Amenity Secretaries shall perform the Specific

✓ To take attendance of all PH Workers through Facial Recognition System (FRS) at the work place while they are doing
their work.
✓ To deploy PH Workers in his/her allotted areas for sweeping, door to door garbage collection & drain cleaning etc.,
✓ To ensure 100% Segregation of Waste at Source in the area allotted to him/her.
✓ To ensure 100% Door to Door Garbage Collection from all the House Holds, Commercial Establishment/Institutions
etc., in the area allotted to him/her.
✓ To ensure usage of Personal Protective Equipment by all the PH Workers in the area allotted to him/her.
✓ To ensure usage of scanners and cover all Households by the PH Workers in door to door garbage collection and
monitor the coverage of scanning in dashboard.
✓ To ensure collected waste shall be placed at identified transfer points properly.
✓ To ensure waste at transfer point was picked up by the secondary transport vehicle, in time and weighment shall be
taken up during waste transported to the designated places.
✓ To ensure the collected garbage shall be transported in covered vehicles to the designated places from the area
allotted to him/her.
✓ To ensure 100% implementation for Online Waste Management System (OWMS) viz., usage of scanners, attendance
of the PH Workers through FRS, follow route maps/transportation plan etc., in the area allotted to him/her.
✓ To follow-up with the concerned to fulfill the gaps in service duly monitoring the OWMS dashboard in implementation
of OWMS in the area allotted to him/her and report to higher authority in case of any technical problems in the
System.
✓ To inspect vulnerable areas and levy of penalties, if any person found openly defecated in the area allotted to him/her.
✓ To attend grievances/complaints about animal carcasses, unidentified dead bodies on priority basis.

✓ To attend grievances (SPANDANA) received from different sources and resolve grievances within in the area allotted
to him/her within SLA time.
✓ To ensure implementation of all Waste Management Rules, directions of the Hon’ble National Green Tribunal, New
Delhi, etc., in the area allotted to him/her.
✓ To ensures for proper sanitation in the area allotted to him/her.
✓ To ensure 100% de-siltation of drains, anti-larval & anti mosquito operations to prevent & control of communicable
diseases in the area allotted to him/her.
✓ To ensure cleanliness at public places etc., located in the area allotted to him/her and arrange gang work if
necessary.
✓ To ensure cleanliness in Public Toilets, Community Toilets in the area allotted to them.
✓ To ensure 100% identification of Bulk Waste Generators, providing handhold support to the BWGs, practicing
onsite composting by the BWGs etc., as specified in the SWM Rules, 2016 in the area allotted to him/her.
✓ To ensure Home Composting done in all the households in the area allotted to him/her.
✓ To ensure the collected wet waste in the allotted area shall be sent to the Waste to Compost Plant or to the
designated place.
✓ To inspect Slaughter Houses/Vegetable Markets/Mutton/Chicken Markets in the area allotted to him/her and
ensure proper measures were taken as per norms in the said places.
✓ To ensure hygiene conditions at street food service places in the area allotted to him/her.
✓ To ensure prevention of free cattle movement on main roads.
✓ To visit Slaughter Houses located in the area allotted to him/her on regular intervals and report the status of
functioning/stage of construction/modernization etc., to his reporting officer.
✓ To take measures to control stray cattle menace, Pig menace, Monkey menace etc., in the area allotted to him/her.

✓ To identification of stray dogs, if any, in the area allotted to him/her and ensure 100% achievement in ABC & ARV
Programme in the area allotted to him/her.
✓ To initiate action for construction of Pig Hostels, to visit the Pig Hostels located in the area allotted to him/her on
regular intervals and report the status of functioning/stage of construction to his reporting officer.
✓ To collect data from Government/Private Hospitals where communicable diseases reported in the area allotted to
him/her and report the status to his reporting officer for taking remedial measures in the said area.
✓ To ensure 100% implementation of Plastic Waste Management Rules, 2016 in the area allotted to him/her.
✓ To ensure 100% ban on usage of plastic below 50 Microns thickness in the area allotted to him/her and phase out
of single usage plastics.
✓ To impose penalties on violators in consultation with Sanitary Inspector/higher authorities as per bye-laws of the
ULB (Plastic Waste Management Rules, 2016).
✓ To ensure quantity of collected dry waste send to Dry Waste Resource Centers/Material Recovery Facility in the
ULBs.
✓ To visit the DRCC (Dry Resource Collection Centers)/MRFs (Material Recovery Facilities) and report the status of
functioning etc., to his/her reporting officer.
✓ To ensure 100% Dry Waste collected in the area allotted to him/her shall be sent to DRCC/MRFs and see that the
in-charge of DRCC/MRFs in the area allotted to him/her shall tie up with recyclers/Cement Plants etc., for
disposing the collected Dry Waste.To identify there is any Construction & Demolition waste in the area allotted to
him/her and take steps to collect and transport the waste in correspondence with higher authority.
✓ To ensure 100% implementation of Construction & Demolition Waste Management Rules, 2016 in the area allotted
to him/her.
✓ To ensure 100% achievement of targets in tree plantation & survival, in the area allotted to him/her.

✓ To visit the Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs), Faecal Sludge Treatment Plants (FSTPs), Re-use of Waste Water
Treatment Plants etc., in the area allotted to him/her on regular intervals and report the status of functioning/stage
of construction to his reporting officer.
✓ To co-ordinate with the line departments in obtaining required information, approvals/permissions etc., regarding
implementation of all Waste Management Rules etc., in the area allotted to him/her and report the status to his
reporting officer.
✓ To take up IEC Activities/Awareness Campaigns/Trainings etc., in implementation of Waste Management Rules
and directions of the Hon’ble National Green Tribunal, New Delhi, in the area allotted to him/her and report the
status report to his reporting officer.
✓ To ensure the conducting all Swachha Bharat Mission activities as per the calendar issued by the department.
✓ To ensure conduct of all government programmes as per the schedule/calendar issued by the department along
with regular work.
✓ He shall maintain Handbook and get signatures from his/her reporting officer, daily, on the activities attended by
him/her.
✓ He shall perform General duties/Duties of other secretaries, as and when required.
✓ He shall attend other duties entrusted by the higher authorities from time to time.
✓ He shall clear the files as early as possible.
✓ All activities related to Swachch Andhra like ODF, ODF+, ODF++ and other activities.
✓ He/ She must ensure that all Births, Deaths and Marriages in the Ward Secretariat Jurisdiction are registered.
