    SHORT ANSWER

    1. Why do sociologists find it important to differentiate between sex and gender? What
    importance does the differentiation have in modern society?
     Because they have brilliant meaning from every unique and not the same thing. Sex
    refers to organic characteristic one is born with: the penis (male) or the Vigna (female).
    Gender differs in that it doesn’t have family members to the males and females . rather it is
    a social developed concept that differs from subculture to culture. One can self perceive to
    something gender they sense they reflect. Sex can not be modified besides one goes has
    surgery.

    2. How is children’s play influenced by gender roles? Think back to your childhood. How
    “gendered” were the toys and activities available to you? Do you remember gender
    expectations being conveyed through the approval or disapproval of your playtime choices?
     Children toys are divided in two predominant categories: boys toys and women toys.
    I’ll use boys toys an example . Most boys toys are cars; guns, or motion figures; all of
    these toys translate into masculine things. Thus influencing kids into what they’re
    supposed to like. As a teenager I remember having all three of these sort of toys. My
    first ride with female toys used to be when I was about 8 or 9. My sister had set of
    barbies and she requested if I could play with her, so I did. I grabbed a barbie and
    commenced role playing. My two older brother saw me doing this and instantly started
    laughing at me for being a “ little girl”. This once me receiving disapproval of enjoying
    with feminine toys because they will judges your gender.

    3. In what way do parents treat sons and daughters differently? How do sons and daughters
    typically respond to this treatment.
     If a son fall off his bike and scrapes his knee he’s dad would perhaps say something
    like, “ stand up, you’re a man . you’re ok”. The father is correct deal a good deal mush
    less in all possibility to exhibit off compassion to his boy, on the other hand if it have
    been his daughter that fell off the bike he would perhaps reply with some factors like,”
    are you ok?” in a involved manner and hug her until she stops crying . the lady will
    experience cherished and like getting treated in such manner. The boy on the different
    hand might also moreover journey like he needs to be challenging and that he will be
    enough on his own. This is one necessary instance of how son and daughters would
    perhaps get treated.
