Ephesians 5:22-33
22
Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
23
For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
24
Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
25
Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
26
That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
27
That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and
without blemish.
28
So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
29
For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:
30
For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
31
For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
32
This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
33
Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she
reverence her husband.
Why I Love This Church
1. It Is Through The Church I Can Learn The Truth
1 Timothy 3:15
But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the
church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.
2. It Is Through The Church I Came To Know The True Salvation.
1 Corinthians 15:1-4 1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which
also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to
the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
3. It Is Through The Church That I Can Be Edified, Walk In The Fear Of The Lord, and In The Comfort
Of The Holy Ghost, and Be Established.
Acts 9:31 Then had the churches rest throughout all Judaea and Galilee and Samaria, and were edified; and
walking in the fear of the Lord, and in the comfort of the Holy Ghost, were multiplied.
Acts 16:5 5 And so were the churches established in the faith, and increased in number daily.
4. It Is Where I Can Glorify God With All His Grace.

Psalm 122:1 I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord.
Ephesians 3:21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
1 Chronicles 16:29 Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come before him:
worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.
5. It Is Through The Church That I Learn To Love God, Serve Him, and Become Generous.
Matthew 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul,
and with all thy mind.
1 Thessalonians 1:9 For they themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye
turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God;
Philippians 4:15 Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from
Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only.
2 Corinthians 8:1 Moreover, brethren, we do you to wit of the grace of God bestowed on the churches of
Macedonia;
2 Corinthians 8:7 Therefore, as ye abound in every thing, in faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and in all
diligence, and in your love to us, see that ye abound in this grace also.
2 Corinthians 8:5 And this they did, not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves to the Lord, and unto us by
the will of God.
6. It Is Through The Church Where We Grow Spiritually
1 Peter 2:2
As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:
2 Peter 3:18
18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now
and for ever. Amen.
Ephesians 4:14-15
14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by
the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
Ephesians 2:19-22
19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the
household of God;
20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner
stone;
21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:
22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.
7. It Is Through The Church We become fruitful
John 15:1-2 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.

2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it,
that it may bring forth more fruit.
John 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much
fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
John 15:16
16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and
that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
8. It Is Through The Church We become profitable
2 Timothy 4:11
11 Only Luke is with me. Take Mark, and bring him with thee: for he is profitable to me for the ministry.
Heb 10:24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
Heb 13:21 Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his
sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
Titus 3:14 And let ours also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, that they be not unfruitful.
Galatians 6:10 As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of
the household of faith.
