of the E39 and other models with the corresponding OEM Numbers 8369462, 8374994,
8374995, 8372004. This was made for the simple Do-It-Yourself version. A full
rebuild/refurbish focuses more on the condition of the solenoids which is not recommended for
the simple DIY. This is a delicate item, please take your time and handle each part with care.
Tools needed:
With a small
screwdriver, pry
between the body
(plastic) and the
bottom of the
plate.

You should see something like this.

GENTLY, separate the plate from the solenoids.

Remove the old O-Rings

Using a pair of needle nose pliers, pull out
the inner sleeve. This is a delicate item and
can be damaged easily. Take your time and
be patient.

Once everything is removed, clean the body
thoroughly.

Now piece back together the
solenoids and place the plate back
on top.

Place the body back onto the
solenoids snugly and replace
the sex T10 screws.
If your heater control valve is equipped with an electric motor, please move on to
the next steps. If it is not equipped with an electric motor, clean the exterior of the
heater control valve and you are complete!

Remove the four T10 screws around the
motor.

Remove the old O-Ring.

Once complete, clean up unit.
