III. Procedure:
A. Motivation
1. The teacher will let the students watch a short clip of Mr. Bean titled,
“Swimming Pool”. They will observe Mr. Bean in the clip.
(The teacher may cut the video provided that the students have watched enough for
them to answer the questions)
B. Discussion
The teacher will process the students’ answers to prepare them for the
discussion through a video presentation.
The teacher will present the video on the different nonverbal cues. The
video will be played twice. After the presentation, a recap will be done to ensure
that the students understood the video. Students will also be allowed to ask
questions for clarifications.
(The teacher will play the video twice so students will be able to read thoroughly
the information in the video. She will also pause after each slide and let the
students read chorally)
C. Application
Activity # 3: Charade
1. The class will be divided into three teams. Each team will form a line.
2. The class will be informed that the theme of the charade will be the Disney
movie titles.
3. The teacher will assign an actor, who is not part of any of the teams, to do the
pantomime for the teams to guess.
4. The actor is only given 20 seconds to act out each title which he will pick out
from the fish bowl or any container.
5. After the teacher says GO, a representative from each team will race to the
front and the first to give the correct answer gets a point.
6. Members from each team will take turns in answering. Each member can only
answer once whether correct or not.
7. The team with most points will win the game.
(The titles are: Mulan, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella, Toy Story,
Finding Nemo, Pinocchio, Sleeping Beauty, 101 Dalmatians, Peter Pan)
(The teacher can use other Disney movie titles of her choice)
D. Assessment
(The teacher will print out the slides and distribute it to the 10 groups)
(The teacher can also make a rejoinder if he/she thinks that the student was
not able to elaborate thoroughly the assigned picture)
