Microsoft word (or simply Word) is a graphical word


processing program, developed by Microsoft, where the users
can type with. Its purpose is to allow the users to type and
save documents. The Microsoft Corporation developed this
software in the year 1983. In Microsoft word, many users find
that using an external keyboard with keyboard shortcuts for
Word helps them work more efficiently. Below is a listing of the
more commonly used shortcut keys in Microsoft Word.

This table shows the most frequently shortcuts I used and know in Microsoft Word.

To do this Press.
Open a document. Ctrl+O
Create a new document. Ctrl+N
Save the document. Ctrl+S
Close the document. Ctrl+W
Cut the selected content to the Clipboard. Ctrl+X
Copy the selected content to the Clipboard. Ctrl+C
Paste the contents of the Clipboard. Ctrl+V
Select all document content. Ctrl+A
Apply bold formatting to text. Ctrl+B
Apply italic formatting to text. Ctrl+I
Apply underline formatting to text. Ctrl+U
Decrease the font size by 1 point. Ctrl+[
Increase the font size by 1 point. Ctrl+]
Center the text. Ctrl+E
Align the text to the left. Ctrl+L
Align the text to the right. Ctrl+R
Cancel a command. Esc
Undo the previous action. Ctrl+Z
Redo the previous action, if possible. Ctrl+Y
Adjust the zoom magnification. Alt+W, Q, then tab in Zoom dialog box to the value
you want.
Split the document window. Ctrl+Alt+S
Remove the document window split. Alt+Shift+C or Ctrl+Alt+S
Align the text to justify Ctrl+J
Insert Hyperlink Ctrl + K
Open the print Window Ctrl+ P
Change the font Ctrl + Shift +F
Single space lines Ctrl +1
Double space lines Ctrl + 2
1.5 line spacing Ctrl +5
Spell check and grammar check selected text in F7
document
Save As F12

These are the things that I already know about MS Word. In Home there are sections
the clipboard, font, paragraph , styles, and editing.

The Clipboard Group

System Clipboard holds the last item cut or copied. It only holds
one item.

In Insert there are sections the pages, tables, illustations, apps, media link, comments,
header and footer, text symbols.

In Design there are sections the document formatting and Page background

In Page Layout there are Page setup, paragraph and arrange

In References there are table of Contents , footers , citations and bibliography ,


captions , index and table authorities.

 Create a document by using the shortcut key of Ctrl +N or go the File > New to
select the template that I want

In Home
 Using the different Font styles and size

 Using Bold, Italics ,Underline, Strikethrogh , Subscript and Superscript

 Using text highlight color and font color

 Using line and paragraph spacing which are the single, double, and other more
line spacing.

 Inserting bullets, numbering and multilevel list
