    Last Mile Schools’ Program

    Access to quality education is a constitutional right of every Filipino. The last mile

    school program is part of the Public Schools of the future framework with this DepEd

    is sustaining the substantial gains in access to education by providing adequate

    education facilities and learning facilities. As I watch the video teachers did not regret

    that they are assigned by DepEd in rural areas but instead they felt motivated when

    they see the students focus on studying and doing an achievement in the class and I

    think passion matters in teachers that it motivates and inspires them to do more of

    what makes the students happy because a passionate teachers create an effective

    learning environment and increase learning potential of students. Teachers

    committed and dedicated to their schools and a good education achievement is an

    outcome of this commitment and dedication. I was very inspired by the video

    because in spite of the location is too far there are still teachers willing to travel and

    teach the students so that they can learn, commitment to the institution in education

    manifests itself in identifying with the school, feeling like a part of the school, and

    being loyal to school. In successful schools teachers have commitment to school as

    well as their professions. The desire of teachers spending more time at school,

    making more effort for school achievement, approving compatibility of administration

    are among contributing causes of commitment and dedication to school. Teachers

    sacrifice everything just to teach the student and sacrifice their efforts and time to let

    the students know that the teachers really love them.


    The video is very inspirational for me as a future teacher someday because. Last

    Mile Program is really the proof that no mountain is too high, no sea is too deep and

    no river too wide that can’t stop the teacher to strive to make a change for the

    students because once become a teacher, you care, not just about education, but

    about your students’ education. Last Mile Program really ensure that no child will be

    left behind and no area is underdeveloped finally bridging the gap and making

    education truly accessible to all.
