3 Killed, 20 Injured in South Cotabato Road Crash
KORONADAL CITY – Three persons were killed and more than 20 others
were injured when a Husky Bus figured in a road crash in Polomolok, South Cotabato
on Saturday afternoon. One of the fatalities was declared dead on arrival while two
others expired hours later. About 20 others were injured. Chief Inspector Hernani
Gabat, police chief of Polomolok, said in a radio interview that the Husky bus (body
number 2788 and license plate MVV-171) was heading to Gen. Santos City from
Cotabato City. The bus, driven by Rudy Danao, tried to change lanes to overtake a
motorcycle with two persons on board. But there was an oncoming motorbike so the
bus returned to its lane while approaching Crossing Highway in Barangay Bentong
Sulit, Polomolok at 3 p.m. However, the driver lost control of the steering wheel,
causing the bus to turn turtle. Its roof was detached after it turned upside down and
pinned down a motorist on the right side of the highway.
Reaction:
In five pillars of traffic, I think the traffic engineering and traffic
education are have a deficiency in this situation, because the driver of
the Husky Bus has a luck of education in driving. The driver suddenly
interpolates the other lane while there was a motorbike appearing in
that lane, so he starts to return in his lane but unconsciously he lost the
control of the steering wheel. And before you try to overtake in any
vehicular you need to always look in every side, back and front so you
can achieve the safety travels.

vehicular accidents in Isabela on Tuesday. Efraim Caagusan Sr., 46, and his wife Jane,

tricycle passenger Melchor Agulay died when the vehicle collided with a pickup truck
in Nungnungan village.

Gallarde. The three men were allegedly drunk.
Reaction:
In this situation, the first thing you should do is always put your sit belt,
because it my help you in any situation like an accident like this. Always
put a street light in every road specially in dark side of the road because
in that side start the collide of any vehicle so it may cause an accident.
The traffic education also need to orient every new driver’s to not drink
alcohol when you are going to drive because the one major cause of the
accident is by being drunken.
A sunshine holiday has turned into a nightmare for a group of French tourists.
More than 40 have been injured, at least seven critically, in a coach crash in Cuba. It
happened as the group, thought to be mainly pensioners, were returning from an
excursion to Santa Clara. The central city is home to a monument holding the remains
of Ernesto “Che” Guevara, the Argentine who helped lead the armed uprising that put
Fidel Castro in power in 1959. Cuban state television says their coach was involved in
a collision with another vehicle travelling in the same direction. It happened in broad
daylight on a national highway. French Prime Minister Manuel Valls says everything
is being done to help with the repatriation of those caught up in the disaster, most of
whom are from northwestern France.
Reaction:
This accident has a defection’s in traffic economy and traffic ecology.
Why? Because in traffic economy people should learn to be educated
regarding the adverse that affect to our populations or environment,
also in the traffic economy we also need to develop any devices or
program that the accident.

right into a pond in Queens. Investigators say the driver, who was wearing what
looked like a religious robe, was taken into custody at the scene. The incident
happened at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Brookville Park in Rosedale. Authorities tell
Eyewitness News that the driver struck at least two pedestrians, but also another car
and a lamp post. One man's brother and his family were also among those who were
hit. It all happened in a matter of seconds, but those who witnessed the carnage were
in disbelief. "We heard a big boom - my sister screamed, and when I looked, I saw a
lady fly up into the air, and the van, white van ran over her at high speed," said one
eyewitness named Bernard.
The van ended up careening into Brookville Park and into a pond, where for the first
few minutes, no one even saw the driver. He then emerged wearing what looked to be
a white pastor's robe. The driver's behavior was incoherent, according to witnesses,
and police took him into custody. Prayers were scrawled onto the window of the van,
which remained at the scene throughout the evening. The victims were all taken to
Jamaica Hospital. Two people are in critical condition, three are in serious condition,
and one is in stable condition. The driver is undergoing a psychological evaluation
and is not facing charges.
Reaction:
The traffic enforcement always need to enlarge all the pedestrians in
any road. The traffic engineering also need some CCTV to accumulate
some of this happening, the CCTV may help to figure out the suspect
when she/he escape in the accident or in a crime. they need to expanse
their rules and regulation about the traffic facilities, so the driver’s will
may know what they do and they will not to do.
Reaction:
I think the driver of a tourist bus was in an over speeding and that way
the driver lost his brake and you can also know because of impact that
the tourist bus gets and by the passenger felt. Even this accident happen
the traffic education can give some ideas for the accident like this. It can
also give a traffic congestion to some of vehicle also this accident can
start a traffic. The citizen may also help in this situation to rescue some
of the people who in hurt in this accident also the citizen support groups
is under of the education they can help to prevent the traffic by using
their knowledge about the traffic can cause of the accident.

Reaction:
This accident tells us always priorities the public vehicles like the
ambulance, fire truck and etc. in this case the public information office
is under of the traffic education, they need to inform us that all
emergency public vehicle may can cause a traffic we need to give way
for to pass or opportunity to not engender a traffic.
Reaction:
The traffic education need a comprehensive way to educate all the
drivers to know what is the regulation of the traffic enforcement. The
traffic enforcement need to explain what is their rules and regulation.
They also need to repaint the pedestrian line when the white line is
blurry so they can suddenly stop when they are near in the pedestrian
line.
Reaction:
The pillars that has some defections is the traffic education, because I
think the driver has a lack of skills in driving and he also going too fast
or excessive speed so he causes a multiple collision, so the traffic
education give some of learnings to prevent this accident again. The
traffic education is the process of training roads users to avoid and
prevent of traffic accidents.

Reactions:
The traffic enforcement has a missing some sign board to the road that
need to consider, but if it was a public utility vehicle they need to give way
in they part the traffic engineering also help the traffic enforcement to
implement the traffic by planning.

Reactions:
Traffic engineering need to ineffable them plans for the traffic and they
need to inform those drivers also the traffic enforcement has a defection in
the situation because I think the drivers didn’t know the rules and
regulations that the traffic enforcement established.
