3 killed, 20 injured in South Cotabato road crash

KORONADAL CITY – Three persons were killed and more than 20 others
were injured when a Husky Bus figured in a road crash in Polomolok, South Cotabato
on Saturday afternoon. One of the fatalities was declared dead on arrival while two
others expired hours later. About 20 others were injured. Chief Inspector Hernani
Gabat, police chief of Polomolok, said in a radio interview that the Husky bus (body
number 2788 and license plate MVV-171) was heading to Gen. Santos City from
Cotabato City. The bus, driven by Rudy Danao, tried to change lanes to overtake a
motorcycle with two persons on board. But there was an oncoming motorbike so the
bus returned to its lane while approaching Crossing Highway in Barangay Bentong
Sulit, Polomolok at 3 p.m. However, the driver lost control of the steering wheel,
causing the bus to turn turtle. Its roof was detached after it turned upside down and
pinned down a motorist on the right side of the highway.

 Reaction:
 In five pillars of traffic, I think the traffic engineering and traffic
education are have a deficiency in this situation, because the driver of
the Husky Bus has a luck of education in driving. The driver suddenly
interpolates the other lane while there was a motorbike appearing in
that lane, so he starts to return in his lane but unconsciously he lost the
control of the steering wheel. And before you try to overtake in any
vehicular you need to always look in every side, back and front so you
can achieve the safety travels.

Gallarde. The three men were allegedly drunk.

 Reaction:
 In this situation, the first thing you should do is always put your sit belt,
because it my help you in any situation like an accident like this. Always
put a street light in every road specially in dark side of the road because
in that side start the collide of any vehicle so it may cause an accident.
The traffic education also need to orient every new driver’s to not drink
alcohol when you are going to drive because the one major cause of the
accident is by being drunken.

any road. The traffic engineering also need some CCTV to accumulate
some of this happening, the CCTV may help to figure out the suspect
when she/he escape in the accident or in a crime. they need to expanse

 The pillars that has some defections is the traffic education, because I
think the driver has a lack of skills in driving and he also going too fast
or excessive speed so he causes a multiple collision, so the traffic
education give some of learnings to prevent this accident again. The
traffic education is the process of training roads users to avoid and
prevent of traffic accidents.
