GATHERING TOGETHER
Welcome to God’s grace – where the world’s labels don’t apply.
Step into God’s time and presence. Hear God’s gentle whisper: “Be still and know that I am God.”
Let your body and mind rest, and open your heart to God in worship and prayer. Welcome each
other in the love of Christ. Extend hospitality to those new in our midst. “This is the day the Lord has
made. Let us rejoice in it!”

“BLESSED BE YOUR NAME” MATT REDMAN
Verse 1: Blessed be your name in the land that is plentiful
Where your streams of abundance flow.
Blessed be your name. Blessed be your name.
When I’m found in the desert place,
Though I walk in the wilderness, blessed be your name.
Chorus: Every blessing you pour out, I’ll turn back to praise.
When the darkness closes in, Lord, still I will say
Blessed be the name of the Lord. Blessed be your name.
Blessed be the name of the Lord. Blessed be your glorious name.
Verse 2: Blessed be your name when the sun’s shining down on me.
When the world’s all as it should be,
Blessed be your name. Blessed be your name.
On the road marked with suffering,
Though there’s pain in the offering, blessed be your name. (Chorus)
Bridge: You give and take away; you give and take away,
My heart will choose to say, Lord, blessed be your name. (Chorus)
Ending: Blessed be the name of the Lord.
Blessed be your glorious name.
You give and take away, you give and take away,
My heart will choose to say
Lord, blessed be your name. CCLI#1028901
SIT
Let us pray for all who are beginning a new school year that both students
and teachers will be blessed in their academic endeavors.
Almighty God, you give blessing and wisdom and knowledge. Grant
teachers the gift of joy and insight, and students the gift of diligence and
openness, that all may grow in what is good and honest and true. Support
all who teach and all who learn, that together we may know and follow your
ways.
We ask that you would protect and watch over them. Keep them safe a as
they travel to and from school. As they learn and teach, help them also to
discover the gifts that you have given each one of them to be used in your
work in the world. As they hear the many voices that will fill their days,
help them to listen most carefully for your voice, the one that tells them you
will love them always. We ask this in Jesus' name.
Amen
GOSPEL ACCLAMATION

every sickness among the people. Alleluia. (Matthew 4:23)
PRAYERS OF THANKSGIVING
APOSTLES’ CREED
There is one Lord, one faith, and one baptism. United in Christ, let us
confess the faith we hold in common.
I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only Son, our Lord, who was
conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under
Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended to
the dead. On the third day he rose again; he ascended into heaven, he
is seated at the right hand of the Father, and he will come to judge
the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion
of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and
the life everlasting. Amen
