I. Commissioning Scope
These commissioning instructions are applicable to JWVF and XWVF series elevators
with speed of 0.5m/s-3.0m/s.

II. Preparations Prior to Commissioning


1. At least one of the commissioning persons is able to read all the documents
supplied with the elevator and understand their contents;
2. The commissioning persons must be familiar with and master the principle,
construction and operating method of variable frequency, variable voltage and
adjustable speed elevators;
3. The commissioning persons must be familiar with and master the control
principle of PLC;
4. The commissioning persons should be able to expertly judge, analyze and
eliminate the faults;
5. The commissioning persons must be careful and strict in their work and ensure
safety during the commissioning;
6. Instruments (generally) required for commissioning:
a. Multimeter
b. Tacheometer
c. Ruler
d. General electrician’s tools
e. Clamp meters

III. Commissioning for Slow Running


(1) Check and confirm mechanical installations on the field

Warning !
Before check, make sure that the main power supply and lighting
power supply of the elevator are in OFF state.

It is necessary to turn off the air switches FU1、FU2、 K1~K4 in the


elevator control cabinet.

1.1 Make sure that there are no barriers affecting elevator operation in the hoistway.
1.2 The pit parts of the elevator have been installed correctly. If a hydraulic buffer is
used, make sure that the damping oil is up to the required level and the pit should
be dry.
1.3 Hall door and car door are installed very well, door vane is mounted correctly and
can freely open and close. A good sealing is provided between the hall door and
door hole, and there are necessary protections and clear warning labels outside of
the hall door, in order to prevent authorized persons from entering the elevator.
1.4 Make sure that the guide rail has been installed and adjusted correctly and has
passed acceptance inspection.
1.5 Make sure that the door machine of the car is mounted correctly.
1.6 Make sure that the car wire rope is installed correctly and fixed firmly.
1.7 Make sure that the speed governor is positioned according to related national
standards and can become operative.
1.8 Make sure that the speed governor, wire rope and take-up pulley are installed
correctly.
1.9 Make sure that the limit switches for the hoistway have been adjusted if necessary,
and ensure their reliability, safety and effectiveness.
1.10Make sure that the supplied cables are installed and fixed correctly, without
knotting.
1.11Make sure that the wiring ducts are laid in a tidy and standard way, and wire ducts
should be connected using copper strips or yellow and green wires.
1.12Make sure that the emergency exit and safety gear are installed and fixed correctly
and are operative.
1.13Make sure that the traction machine is fixed as shown in the installation
instructions. If it is a geared traction machine, check whether the oil level in the
gearbox is normal;
1.14Make sure that the encoder on the traction machine is fixed firmly.
1.15 All the installation work should be carried out according to the installation
specifications GB10060 of China.
1.16The machine room and hoistway should keep clean and tidy after all the parts and
components are installed correctly.
(2) Check and confirm electrical installations

Caution
If any problems are found during following check, be sure to carry
out careful check and eliminate the fault causes and confirm that the
equipment and personal safety will not be affected.

2.1 Confirm the connection from the distribution box of the elevator to the three phase

feeding lines L11, L12 and L13 of the control cabinet.
2.2 Confirm the connection from the brake coils of traction machine to 501, 502 and
505 in the control cabinet.
2.3 Confirm the connection from the terminals U, V and W in the control cabinet to the
terminals U, V and W in the traction machine.
2.4 Confirm the interconnection from the encoder to the control cabinet
2.5 Confirm whether safety circuits 304, 312 and 319 are connected correctly. The
safety circuits must not be shortcircuited intentionally.
2.6 Confirm whether door lock circuits 319,320 and 320+n (“n” represents the storey
number) are connected. Door lock circuits must not be shortcircuited intentionally.
2.7. Make sure that the wiring for inspection box of car top is correct.
2.7.1 Make sure that the power cables and signal lines of door machine are connected
correctly.
2.7.2 ON/OFF logic of the inspection circuit is correct.
2.7.3 Lighting circuit is connected correctly, and there are no shortcircuiting and
circuit disconnections;
2.8 Confirm that the operation panel is wired correctly;
2.9 Make sure that the door machine of car is wired correctly.
2.10 The insulation resistance between earth wire and different terminals (including
power cable and control cable) should comply with the international standards. If
any discrepancy exists, immediately check and find possible faults. Then continue
the commissioning further.
2.11 The connecting points of earth wires should be one common point (for example,
earthing label of the control panel) and earth wires never be connected to different
points and must be connected firmly in order to prevent loose connection.
2.12 Confirm the correctness of Jumpers J1~J4 on the relay board (JDQB) in
inspection box on car top (this confirmation is unnecessary if there is not
JDQB board).
2.12.1 J1-front door full-open signal (shortcircuited when no front door full-open
signal is detected).
2.12.2 J2- front door full-closed signal (shortcircuited when no front door full-closed
signal is detected).
2.12.3 J3- rear door full-open signal (shortcircuited when no rear door full-open signal
is detected).
2.12.4 J4- rear door full-closed signal (shortcircuited when no rear door full-closed

signal is detected)

(3) Power-on Inspection

3.1 Confirm that the emergent electric run switch on the control cabinet is
changed over to inspection status, and switch the inspection switch on the
inspection box on car top to normal state.
3.2 Confirm that all the switches of the safety circuits are reset.
3.3 Check the input voltage of 3-phase and 5-wire system. 3-phase voltage should
be 380VAC±7%, with phase difference not more than 15VAC, and the
voltage between each phase and zero line should be 220VAC±7%.
3.4 Earth wire should be grounded firmly.
3.5 Power up and start commissioning after confirming that power supply is
normal.
3.6 Turn on the power switch. Check that the “normal” lamp of phase sequence
relay is lit. If the “wrong phase” or “phase loss” lamp is lit, exchange any two of
the phases or eliminate the fault, and then continue the commissioning.

3.7 Check all safety contact switches: in normal state, contactor KMS makes and
then operate all safety contact switches one by one so that KMS breaks.
Following safety contact switches can release KMS:

JHK: car buffer switch DHK: counterweight buffer switch


KSB: speed governor take-up pulley switch KSV: speed governor overspeed switch
SJX: upper limit switch of hoistway XIX: lower limit switch of hoistway
KTJ: car emergency exit switch KXJ: car safety gear switch
ZT: stop switch of inspection box of car top KNT: stop switch in the car
KDT: stop switch of inspection box of pit KFS: machine room stop switch
KHW: Handwheel switch KNR:Nip rope device switch
KSU: Overspeed of up motion switch

3.8 Check whether the voltage data of following terminals on control cabinet is
normal:

3.9 Introduction to Control Panel
A、BP302(BP300)Controller

Figure 1

Figure 1 is the standard model of bp302 operating panel and LCD (bp300 and bp304
are slightly different in format). LCD of bp302 model can have a text display of 4 lines
×20 columns of characters. In this figure:
① :B+P Logo of the Company. Customers can change it into the logo of our
company in Basic Menu B312;
② :Time display,flashing colon indicates normal state. Date and time can be
changed in Menu B32;
③ :This elevator is provided with group control function
G1 :Neither data nor group control is available. Connection is not normal
G1. :Data is available but group control is not available. Connection is not
normal
G1: :Both data and group control are available. Connection is not normal
④ :Leveling state of car
= :Car has completely leveled, and both door zone switches obtain signals
+ :Car is in door zone, but it is at such a high position that only upper door
zone switch obtains signals
- :Car is in door zone, but it is at such a low position that only upper door
zone switch obtains signals

When Terminals 17-18 have 20V voltage input and

Terminals 19-20 and 111-100 have +24VDC output, this
LED comes on. Or otherwise check input voltage of
Terminals 17-18.
When Terminals 15-16 have 9V voltage input and
2 +5V +5V there is 5VDC in the controller, this LED comes on. Or
otherwise check input voltage of Terminals 15-16.
3 RESET 复位 Controller resets
4 L-Calls 外召 When landing call is turned off, this LED goes out.
When landing call is turned on, this LED comes on.
When there are faults with safety loop, contactor,
5 Blocking 禁用 frequency converter, and other controlled circuits, and
elevator is blocked, this LED flashes. In normal state,
this LED goes out. When it is flashing, enter the
controller’s “Diagnosis Menu” to see the faults.
This LED comes on when all the safety switches
6 Safety 安全开关 between terminals 301-312 of safety loop are in
normal state. Or otherwise it goes out. In this case
please check safety loop.
This LED goes out when the Emergency Stop switch
7 EM.Stop 急停开关 between Terminals 312-319 actuates. In this case check
driving safety loop and inspection loop. This LED comes on
in normal state.
8 Door 轿门门锁 When this LED comes on, car door is closed and car
door contacts X5.17 close. If it does not come on,
please check car door lock circuit.
9 Lock 厅门门锁 When hall door is closed (hall door contacts X5.19
close), this LED comes on. Or otherwise it goes out.
In this case, check hall door lock circuit.

⑧:Car CALL switch


Up,car call at top floor
Down, car call at ground floor

Pressing this switch can delete all registered calls
⑨: 4 keys
END :Return key. Press this key in the menu every time and return to
previous menu. Pressing this key in parameter modification indicates
invalid modification.
- : Cursor/parameter moves back by one step whenever this key is pressed
+ : Cursor/parameter moves forward by one step whenever this key is
pressed
CR : Enter key. Go to next menu whenever this key is pressed. Pressing this
key in parameter modification indicates valid modification.
⑩:L-CALLl switch
Up, landing call is allowed
Down, landing call is prohibited
There are two methods to enter Basic Menu
Method 1: After mainboard power is turned off, press down CALL switch without
releasing it and turn on the power meanwhile. Then you can enter Basic
Menu. In this case, all the functions of control system are disabled. If a
password is requested, enter a 4-digit basic password (PIN). The factoring
setting of the password is “5061” or no setting.
Method 2: When the elevator is free with power on, first press down END key
without releasing it. Then pull down CALL switch, and you can enter
Basic Menu.
Push up CALL switch, and you can exit from Basic Menu and enter
Service Menu (elevator may start to run)

bp300 has almost the same operating panel as bp302 does, except that the liquid
crystal display (LCD) of bp300 is a 2-line LCD without backlight and the
top-floor and ground-floor call switches (left) and landing-call disabling switch
(right) are all replaced with push buttons.

B. BP304 Controller

Confirm that above-mentioned signals can be viewed in the diagnosis information of
service menu. Operation is as follows:
Service menu: >Diagnosis:>Signals:>PortI/O >Enter PortI/O, then press CR key to
confirm. Then press keys“十” and“一” to view the information available at all the
I/O ports “●”indicates that there are signals; and “–“ indicates there are not signals

3.11 Check the parameter setting of frequency inverter. See Appendix 1 for details.
3.12 Auto tuning of the traction machine (auto tune is unnecessary if the factory
setting of inverter parameters is correct);
3.12.1 Auto tuning of the traction machine for Yaskawa inverter:
3.12.1.1 Before auto tuning of the traction machine is started, it is necessary to
perform all the checks mentioned before Item 3.11.
3.12.1.2 Remove wire rope from traction sheave of the traction machine and guard it
against wears and damage.
3.12.1.3 Confirm that there is no blocking while the traction sheave and other moving
parts of the traction machine are running.
3.12.1.4 Confirm that contactor KM2 and relay KM3 make (force them to make and
do not allow the contactor and relay to quiver). Allow the band brake of the
traction machine to open, and adjust the mechanical brake so that it operates
smoothly, without delay. Ensure that there is consistent gap between brake shoe
and brake wheel and this gap should not exceed 0.7mm.
3.12.1.5 Enter Auto-tune menu of the frequency inverter
3.12.1.6 According to the prompts given by the inverter, enter the following
parameters one by one:
a) Rated voltage of motor

3.12.1.7 After the inverter indicates [Tuning Ready? Press RUN Key], press RUN key
and it will flash.
3.12.1.8 After the inverter outputs frequency, the traction machine will automatically
run, and auto tuning will be completed after about 1 minute. The inverter will
display “Tune Successful” after auto tuning is completed.
3.12.1.9 Please refer to Appendix 2 if any faults occur during auto tuning.
3.12.2 Keb freqneucy inverter automatically learns the positions of traction machine
(which is only applicable to gearless machine)

3.12.2.1 Before auto tuning of the traction machine is started, it is necessary to


perform all the checks mentioned before Item 3.11.
3.12.2.2 Remove wire rope from traction sheave of the traction machine and guard it
against wears and damage.
3.12.2.3 Confirm that there is no blocking while the traction sheave and other moving
parts of the traction machine are running.
3.12.2.4 Confirm that contactor KM2 and relay KM3 make (force them to make and
do not allow the contactor and relay to quiver). Allow the band brake of the
traction machine to open, and adjust the mechanical brake so that it operates
smoothly, without delay. Ensure that there is consistent gap between brake shoe
and brake wheel and this gap should not exceed 0.7mm. Reset contactor KM2 and
relay KM3 after adjustment is made.
3.12.2.5 Enter the parameters of KEB converter according to Table 11 in Appendix 1;
3.11.2.6 Set the inverter EC4:1, then press the Down or Up button in inspection box of
control cabinet, and output the direction, speed and other control signals to
the inverter via PLC, so that the traction machine can run at inspection speed.
The value of EC4 will go up from 1 to 5. When the value is equal to 5, the

learning for position of traction machine is successful.
3.11.2.7 Please refer to Appendix 2 if any faults occur during automatic learning.
3.11.3 After auto tuning (auto learning) of the inverter, all the parts displaced before
auto tuning must be reset to original position.

(4) Adjustment of door opening/closing


Door opening/closing is adjusted correctly before the product is delivered. If any
slaps are heard during closing door or the door is not full open or full closed, please
make adjustment according to the door machine operating instructions.

(5) Inspection operation of machine room


5.1 All above-mentioned checks and confirmations must be carried out before
inspection operation is started.
5.2 It is necessary to confirm that nobody stays in the hoistway and on car top before
inspection operation is started.
5.3 Confirm that there are not any conditions preventing the elevator operation.
5.4 Confirm that all the safety circuits and door lock circuits are operative.
5.5 Confirm that car-top inspection switch (KAD) is in normal mode, and emergent
electric run switch (KAG) is in inspection mode;
5.6 Press emergent electric up button (AGS) or down button (AGD). At this time, LED
lamp 103 or 104 comes on (if the door is not closed, first close the door), and
elevator starts to run.
5.6.1 While the elevator is running, the inverter displays current running speed and
frequency of the elevator.
5.6.2 If the motor vibrates while the elevator is running, exchange signal lines A and B
on the rotary encoder of the traction machine after power is turned off. Then
perform power-on test and inspection its operation.
5.6.3 If the elevator runs in a direction different from that indicated by the button,
exchange any two phases of Phases U, V and W of major loop after supply is
turned off (this operation is not applicable to KEB converter);
5.6.4 For KEB converter, running direction of elevator can be changed by changing
the setting of parameter LF05.

After the machine room is inspected and the inspection travel is normal, it is possible
to perform inspection of car top if safety is guaranteed. Before inspection operation of
car top is started, it is necessary to confirm that the inspection travel lines of car top
are normal, especially that emergency stop safety switch of car top can function
normally.
If it is found that the UP and DOWN button for inspection of car top do not agree
with the running direction of the elevator, check the lines for inspection travel
direction of car top. Never exchange the lines of major loop in the control cabinet or
make any other changes.

IV. Commissioning for Fast Running

Warning
It is necessary to ensure that commissioning for slow running is successful before
commissioning for fast running is started.
If any problems are found during the commissioning, be sure to carry out
careful check and eliminate the fault causes

(1) Recheck and re-confirmation of field mechanical installations


1.1 Make sure that there are no barriers affecting elevator operation in the hoistway.
1.2 The pit parts of the elevator have been installed correctly. If a hydraulic buffer is
used, make sure that the damping oil is up to the required level and the pit should
be dry.
1.3 Hall door and car door are installed very well, door vane is mounted correctly and
can freely open and close. A good sealing is provided between the hall door and
door hole, and there are necessary protections and clear warning labels outside of
the hall door, in order to prevent authorized persons from entering the elevator.
1.4 Make sure that the guide rail has been installed and adjusted correctly and has
passed acceptance inspection.
1.5 Make sure that the car wire rope is installed correctly and fixed firmly.
1.6 Make sure that the speed governor is positioned according to related national
standards of China and can become operative.
1.7 Make sure that the speed governor, wire rope and take-up pulley are installed
correctly.

1.8 Make sure that the limit switches for the hoistway have been adjusted if necessary,
and ensure their reliability, safety and effectiveness.
1.9 Make sure that the supplied cables are installed and fixed correctly, without
knotting.
1.10 Make sure that the wiring ducts are laid in a tidy and standard way, and wire
ducts should be connected using copper strips or yellow and green wires.
1.11 Make sure that the emergency exit and safety gear are installed and fixed
correctly and are operative.
1.12 Make sure that the traction machine is fixed as shown in the installation
instructions. If it is a geared traction machine, check whether the oil level in the
gearbox is normal.
1.13 Make sure that the encoder on the traction machine is fixed firmly.
1.14 All the installation work should be carried out according to the installation
specifications GB10060 of China.
1.15 The machine room and hoistway should keep clean and tidy after all the parts
and components are installed correctly.
1.16 Make sure that the top and bottom forced slow down switches are installed
correctly.
1.17 Make sure that the inserting plate of photoelectric switch of each floor is
installed correctly.
1.18 Make sure that the door machine of car is installed correctly.

1.19 The position of shaftway terminal switch is specified in Table 5 (if a photoelectric
switch is used in the shaftway, the speed indicated in Table 5 is multiple-floor
travel speed. If an absolute shaft encoder is used in the shaftway, this speed is
one-floor travel speed of elevator )

(2) Recheck and re-confirmation of electrical installations

Caution
If any problems are found during following check, be sure to
carry out careful check and eliminate the fault causes and
confirm that the equipment and personal safety will not be
affected.

2.1 Confirm the connection from the distribution box of the elevator to the three phase
feeding lines L11, L12 and L13 of the control cabinet.
2.2 Confirm the connection from the brake coils of traction machine to 501,502 and
505 in the control cabinet.

2.3 Confirm the connection from the terminals U, V and W in the control cabinet to the
terminals U, V and W in the motor of traction machine.
2.4 Confirm the interconnection from the encoder to the control cabinet
2.5 Confirm whether safety circuits 304 and 319 are connected correctly. The safety
circuits must not be shortcircuited intentionally.
2.6 Confirm whether door lock circuits 319 and 320+n (“n” represents the storey
number) are connected. Door lock circuits must not be shortcircuited
intentionally.
2.7. Make sure that the wiring for inspection box of car top is correct.
2.7.1 Make sure that the power cables and signal lines of door machine are connected
correctly.
2.7.2 ON/OFF logic of the inspection circuit is correct.
2.7.3 Lighting circuit is connected correctly, and there are no shortcircuiting and
disconnections;
2.8 Confirm that the operation panel is wired correctly;
2.9 Make sure that the door machine of car is wired correctly.
2.10 The insulation resistance between earth wire and different terminals (including
power cable and control cable) should comply with the international standards. If
any discrepancy exists, immediately check and find possible faults. Then continue
the commissioning further.
2.11 The connecting points of earth wires should be one common point (for example,
earthing label of the control panel) and earth wires never be connected to
different points and must be connected firmly in order to prevent loose
connection.
2.12 Confirm that the jumper J1-J4 on relay board (JDQB) in car-top inspection box is
correct (this confirmation is unnecessary if there is not JDQB board)
2.12.1 J1-front door full-open signal (shortcircuited when no front door full-open
signal is detected).
2.12.2 J2- front door full-closed signal (shortcircuited when no front door full-closed
signal is detected).
2.12.3 J3- rear door full-open signal (shortcircuited when no rear door full-open

2.12.4 J4- rear door full-closed signal (shortcircuited when no rear door full-closed
signal is detected)

3. Learn Floor Height

3.1 If an absolute shaft encoder is used for elevators, learning of floor height must
be carried out before fast running;
3.2 Before floor learning, it is necessary to confirm that all the safety switches
and door lock circuits are operative.
3.3 Before floor learning, it is necessary to check whether the forced slow-down
switch of the shaftway is installed correctly;
3.4 Confirm that inspection switch of machine room (KAG) is switched over to
inspection mode, and in this mode the inspection switch of car top (KAD) is
in normal mode;
3.5 Confirm that elevator can travel with high safety through the shaftway;
3 . 6 Menu operation: Service menu>Setting >Maintenance>abs.shaft.encoding
>adjusting trip. Press <CR> key to start adjusting trip. Pressing <END> can
exit out of the program at any time;
3.7 Press down inspection button (AGX) so that elevator runs to the lowest floor.
Carry out exact leveling and if necessary, handwinding device can be used
(accuracy of first-floor leveling should be within 1mm);
3.8 After elevator levels at ground floor, press <CR> on the control panel or press
call key for current floor in the car. After the control system confirms
leveling, confirmation lamp should come on;
3.9 Carry out the same operations for other floors;
3.10 After all the leveling positions are accepted, inspection switch of machine
room (KAG) is switched over to normal mode.
3.11 After leveling, allow the elevator to run to all the floors in both directions,
finely adjust leveling accuracy, which may be operated through the menu on
mainboard:
Service menu>Setting>Maintenance>abs.shaft.encoding>Level-positions,
adjust leveling positions of all the floors.

4. Search for Fault Messages of Controller

If the elevator does not run or it has faults after starting to run (refer to Appendices 2
and 3), view the fault stack on the mainboard. Do as follows:
Press CR key to enter Service menu> Diagnosis>Malfunctions/Messages. Then press
CR key again to enter the menu, and select “+” or “- ” to view the messages.

Caution
Before commissioning, it is necessary to first confirm that the
hoistway and all the related devices are installed correctly and
meet the requirements for the elevator to run at high speed.

1. Correcting Run

1.1 Allow the elevator to, in inspection mode, run to a position between two floors or
until it is not in leveling zone.
1.2 Reset the inspection switch, and the elevator is in auto operation state. Then push
any call button, the elevator will run to the leveling position at correcting speed,
stop and then the door will open automatically.

(2) One Floor Run


2.1 Put the elevator in normal operation mode,
2.2 Enter one-floor command in car.
2.3 The elevator will automatically run at medium speed. Observe elevator operation,
and confirm that it can normally start up, slow down, level and stop.
2.4 If anything unusual is found during the operation of elevator, immediately press
the stopping switch to force the elevator to come to a stop. Carry out
troubleshooting carefully, and eliminate the fault before the elevator can be
put into operation again.

(3) Multi-floor Run


3.1 Put the elevator in normal operation mode.
3.2 Enter one-floor command in car.
3.3 The elevator will automatically run at multi-floor speed. Observe elevator
operation, and confirm that it can normally start up, slow down, level and stop.
3.4 If anything unusual is found during the operation of elevator, immediately press
the stopping switch to force the elevator to come to a stop. Carry out
troubleshooting carefully, and eliminate the fault before the elevator can be put into
operation again.

(4) Confirm Door Open/Close Operation

4.1 Check the door open button and close button.
4.2 In inspection mode, if elevator is in leveling zone or door open button is
pressed, the door should open; if door close button is pressed, the door should
close. If elevator is outside of leveling zone, the elevator door does not close;
4.3 In normal (non-inspection) auto mode, the door should open after elevator
stops and levels, and the door should close after waiting for a while;
4.4 In normal (non-inspection) attendant mode, the door should open after elevator
stops and levels. If door close button is held depressed, the elevator door
should close;
4.5 For opening the doors on both sides, please confirm the action status of front door
and rear door. If the action state is incorrect, set the doors as shown below:

(5) Confirm the Function of Multi-beam Light Curtain


5.1 It is unnecessary to confirm the function as shown below if multi-beam light
curtain is unavailable.
5.2 When the elevator starts door closing operation, place an object in the position
of car door light curtain;
5.3 When the light curtain actuates, the LED 53 or 56 on the mainboard comes on.
At this time, confirm that the door can automatically open.

(6) Confirm Command Registration and Fail-safe Function


6.1 Registration of the commands must be carried out in normal (non-inspection)
mode.
6.2 Press all the command and call buttons one by one when the elevator is in
collective selection state, and corresponding indicator lamps (except those for current
floor) should come on and are steadily lit up. If they do not come on, check whether
related wires are connected correctly.
6.3 When the elevator is in attendant mode, press all the car commands one by one,
and corresponding indicator lamps (except those for current floor) should come on and
are steadily lit up, and if they do not come on, check whether related wires are
connected correctly; press all the hall call commands one by one, and corresponding
indicator lamps (except those for current floor) should come on and are steadily lit up,
and corresponding car command lamp flashes. If they do not come on, check whether
related wires are connected correctly;

7、Confirm the Load Cell

7.1 Adjustment of full load:

7.1.1 When car load is equal to 100% of rated load, adjust the weigher (load cell)
at the car bottom and LED 87 on the mainboard comes on. If this weigher
is an electronic weigher, refer to Appendix 4 for adjustment instructions.
7. 2 Adjustment of overload
7.2.1 When car load is equal to 110% of rated load, adjust the weigher (load cell)
at the car bottom and LED 88 on the mainboard comes on. If this weigher
is an electronic weigher, refer to Appendix 4 for adjustment instructions.

(8) Confirm Balance Coefficient of Elevator:

8.1 Technical requirements: balance coefficient is 40%~50% (45% is recommended).


8.2 Method: When car load is equal to 40%―50% of rated load (generally medium
value is used), allow the elevator to run up and down. Measure the motor stator
current when the car runs to the midway of the travel. Increase or decrease the
counterweights so that the current values are almost equal during up travel and down
travel.
8.3 Repeated measurement: allow the car to run up and down at respectively no load
and 25%, 75% and 100% of its rated load. When it and the counterweight run to a
same level position, note down the current values at different loads and plot a
load-current curve. The point of intersection of the load-current curves for up running
and down running is the value of balance coefficient. This value should meet the
requirements of Item 8.2.

(9) Confirm Other Functions (this confirmation is unnecessary if following functions


are unavailable)
9.1 Confirm normal operation of car lighting lamps and fan switch.
9.2 Confirm normal operation of Attendant function switch.
9.3 Confirm normal operation of direct running function switch.
9.4 Confirm normal operation of arrival gong.
9.5 Confirm normal operation of bypass function switch
9.6 Confirm normal operation of emergency lamp
9.7 Confirm normal operation of fire prevention function
9.8 Confirm the normal operation of pre-opening function;

VI. Adjustment of Elevator Leveling and Ride Comfort


(1) Adjustment of Elevator Leveling Position
1.1 It is possible to reduce the preset value of d1-05(LF41) appropriately if car sill is
higher than landing door sill after the elevator runs upwards, levels and finally
stops, or if the car sill is lower than landing door sill after it runs downwards,

2.1. Operation instructions
Please see the following figures for details of operating process (basic
commissioning):
2.1.1. Digital/Interface Operator
Field operation of KEB COMBIVERT F4-F needs an operator. In order to avoid
misoperation, the operator should be plugged/unplugged in nop (no operation)
state (control switch X2.1 does not send a signal). Operator is not needed when
the converter is in normal operation. Operators are available in several models,
such as model without serial port, or models with CAN, LON, PROFIBUS or
INTERBUS interface.

Appendix 6. Commissioning Instructions for Electronic Weigher

1 .ECW-Z1000(Z2000)/B electronic weigher

1.1 After system power-on, confirm whether the controller displays 〖LP〗 or
〖Lo〗;
If “Yes”, the system will proceed to next step;
If “No”, ① after system power-off, press down the keys 【p】 and 【q】
without releasing them, and the system is powered on again, and this time the
system displays flashing〖PP〗;
② Let the parameter“P0=0A” ;
③ After memorizing this device, the system will automatically reset to the
preset parameter.
1.1.1 System commissioning if stop compensation manner is not required
Conditions: used for the elevators with car lift height ≤30m or that do not
have high requirements for weighing signals;
① When stop compensation manner is applied, users need not connect the
connecting wires of “Pj3” port;
② Car persons are withdrawn away from car top and car. Make the elevator stop
at leveling position on ground floor, and commissioning persons enter the
machine room.
③ When the controller indicates 〖Lo〗, press down both【p】 and 【q】 keys
④ While〖PL〗 and〖01〗are indicated alternatively, press 【q】key, and〖PL〗
will flash for 5 sec, and on-load testing is completed.
⑤ While 〖PH〗 and 〖01〗 are indicated alternatively, let the car to be in
effective load state (the elevator with load capacity of 1000Kg carries
1000Kg load);
⑥ Press 【q】 key, and 〖PH〗 will flash for 5 sec, and full-load testing is
completed.
⑦ The system automatically restarts, and 〖L4〗is indicated. Self-learning
process is completed
1.1.2 System commissioning if when stop compensation manner stop by stop is used
with “upper and lower level/door zone + running direction”:
Conditions: it is easy to obtain the operating signal of “upper and lower
level” or “door zone + up direction”
① According to actual conditions of the elevator, connect the signals of
“PJ3.1~2, PJ3.3~4 and PJ4.1~2” circuits correctly. It is unnecessary to
connect the signals of “PJ3.5~6” circuits.
② Persons should be withdrawn away from car top and car, stop the elevator at
leveling position on ground floor, and elevator door is open;

③ When the controller indicates 〖Lo〗, press down both【p】 and 【q】 keys.
The system will automatically proceed to the following steps after it displays
〖PL〗;
④ In this case, 〖PL〗 and 〖01〗 are indicated alternatively (PL means testing
valid no-load operation and “01” means that the elevator is on ground floor;
⑤ After attendant enters the car, it is necessary to drive the elevator to run
through all the floors, stopping at every floor normally. While it stops on
every floor, guarantee that elevator door keeps open for 5 sec or longer time.
Afterwards, the system will automatically memorize the effective no-load
value for the present floor. In this case, “01” will flash and indicate “1” sec
Caution: the attendant should not be replaced willfully in subsequent
operation. This system will automatically deduct the attendan’s weight
from the load value after self learning is completed.
⑥ Does the system indicates〖PL〗and〖02〗alternatively after the system runs
to upper floor, levels and opens the door?
If “Yes”, the system will proceed to next step;
If “No”, then “Pj3.1~2 and Pj3.3~4” compensation signal has an error.
Please check this circuit by referring to related circuit diagram after the
system power is turned off.
⑦ Can the elevator run to top floor?
If “Yes”, the system will proceed to next step;
If “No”, the system will continue to run to each floor and stop at each
landing stop. Meanwhile, see to that the indications of 〖PL〗and〖**〗
should conform to the stop where the elevator is (Note:〖**〗indicates the
value “01~60” for the stop where the elevator stops).
After elevator runs to the top floor, the system will indicate 〖PL〗and
〖stop values for top floor〗alternatively. In this case, drive the elevator to
run to the ground floor once again. After elevator runs to the ground floor,
the system will indicate 〖PH〗and 〖01〗alternatively (PH is the test of
effective load capacity and “01” indicates that elevator is on ground floor);
⑧ Load the car with effective rated load capacity (load the elevator with
1000kg if its rated load is 1000kg). It is necessary to operate the elevator to
run to and stop at every floor normally. During the stop at each floor, the
elevator door must be kept open for 5 sec or longer. After than the system
will automatically memorize effective value of rated load for a floor after
the door for this floor is closed;
⑨ Does the elevator run to top floor?
If “Yes”, 〖PH〗 will flash and indicate “5 sec”, and then the self-learning
is completed. The system will immediately revise the parameter “P0=00”.
If “No”, the system will continue to run to and stop at each floor.
Meanwhile, see to that the indications of 〖PH〗and〖**〗should conform
to the stop where the elevator is.
⑩ The system will automatically reset, and it will indicate〖FY〗→〖L4〗.Thus

the entire self-learning is completed.
Note: If there are any misoperations or error indications of the system (〖EE〗
or〖EF〗) during self learning, the self-learning under this item must be
executed all over again.

2 ECW-220+ electronic weigher


2.1 Positioning of load cell:
① Check carefully that the system connections are correct. One commissioning
person goes into the pit, and one commissioning person enters the machine
room. It is guaranteed that the car is under no load.
② Does the system indicate〖LP〗or 〖LL〗or 〖Lo〗or 〖LH〗 immediately
after power on?
If “Yes”, the system will proceed to next step;
If “No”, power off the system, and press down the keys 【p】and【q】 on
the controller at the same time. Then power on the system again, and after
〖PP〗is displayed and is flashing, the system will be ready for revision of
working parameters of the load cell.
③ Within about 1~5 minutes after power on, the system will carry out self
test and display〖LP〗. After completion of self test, the system will
automatically proceed to next step.
④ while the elevator is at no load, please adjust the load cell so that the red
lamp and green lamp can flash alternatively (the controller indicates〖Lo〗
in this case).
a. If the green lamp flashes quickly, gradually move the load cell away from
magnet (the controller indicates〖LH〗in this case);
b. If the red lamp flashes quickly, mover the load cell gradually near to the
magnet (the controller indicates〖LL〗in this case).
⑤ While the elevator is at no load, please adjust the load cell so that the red
lamp and green lamp can flash alternatively (the controller indicates〖Lo〗
in this case).
a. If the green lamp flashes quickly, gradually move the load cell away from
magnet (the controller indicates〖LH〗in this case);
b. If the red lamp flashes quickly, mover the load cell gradually near to the
magnet (the controller indicates〖LL〗in this case)
⑥ While the red lamp and green lamp of the load cell flash alternatively, fix and
tighten the load cell firmly. Now, the positioning of load cell is completed.
2.2 Self learning of working parameters at no load
When〖Lo〗is indicated, press down the keys【p】and【q】of the controller
simultaneously, and the system will start to learn the no-load working parameters.
After 〖PL〗 is displayed and flashes for 5 sec, the self learning is completed, and
after that, the system will get ready for self learning of working parameters at
rated load.〖PH〗will be indicated. Now. self learning at no load of the system is

2.3 Self learning of working parameters at rated load
While〖PH〗is indicated, place the elevator under rated load. Then press【q】
key and the system will start to learn the working parameters at rated load. After
〖PH〗is displayed and flashes, the self learning of working parameters at rated
load is completed. Now, self learning at rated load is completed. The system
will enter normal working state.
