Interviewer Ahm. From your own understanding, what is LAC? Interviewee LAC, ito yung di ba Learning Action Cell. Ginagawa yung LAC intended sa mga necessity. Halimbawa puwede rin sa instruction kasi kumbaga may kailangang i-tackle may bago na innovation. Don papasok sa LAC session. Interviewer So, ano yung pagkakaintindi mo sa dalawa boss, LAC and LAC session? Interviewee Ah ano? Interviewer LAC and LAC session. Interviewee Ah yung LAC yun yung program kasi yung session you have to meet di ba. Kailangang magkaroon session to discuss. Yung LAC that is the program or title na activity. Yung LAC naman may magmi-meeting, may mga tao, may mga participants ganun di dba, may facilitator ganun, may magli-lead. I think puwedeng maging conference din siya. But you have something to sit down and discuss something yun ang LAC session. Interviewer Opo boss. Then, How is it different from your usual administrative and/or faculty meetings boss? Interviewee Ibang iba ang LAC session kumpara sa regular na faculty meeting kasi sa regular faculty meeting usually parang information dissemination lang o kaya ay may gagawin na pagpalnuhan na gagawin for the school. Sa LAC session naman iba naman yun kasi meron kayong ita-tackle may bago na ipapakita. Something na imo-modify, i-innovate, bagong learning na isi-share sa mga teachers halimbawa. Interviewer Opo. And then, how do you select the topics in your school for your LAC sessions? Interviewee Okay, maraming paraan kung paano kami magselect ng topic naming ditto sa school. Halimbawa, yung LMC yung Least Mastered Competency isa na yun at kung may problema na kinakaharap ng school na kinakailangan ng masusing pagpaplano puwede rin itackle don sa LAC pwede rin yung mga mangyayari sa kasalukuyan na kailangang i-address kasi makipag cooperate ang school. Oh going back to our example yung LMC, kapag Nakita na ang LMC ay ganito ano ang mga dahilan bakit mababa, kung minsan sa content diba? Interviewer Opo. Interviewee Yung term mo di ko maintindihan masyado. What? Interviewer What are your practices in conducting needs assessment? Interviewee Ay as the needs arise kasi eh yung needs assessment. Halimbawa sa needs assessment kung mababa kailangan mong tignan agada gad kung anong puwedeng solusyon para don as the needs arise. Depende sa resulta ng assessment. Kung di na kailangan bakit pa di ba. Interviewer Opo boss and then, how do you conduct planning activities that lead to the identification of your professional development needs prior to the conduct of your LAC sessions? Interviewee Planning of activities. Yun nga eh yung sinabi ko kanina. Ano ba yung mga kailangan ng mga teachers. Okay so the admin will plan, kasi ang admin ang nakakakita kung ano ang pangangailangan ng mga teachers. For example, in this area, ang mga teachers hindi naman mahihina pero yung kanilang improvement masyadong mabagal so we need to address that also at sa mga students din na bakit yung performance ng mga bata ay masyadong mababa naaapektuhan din ba nito ang performance ng mga teachers ganun. Interviewer Okay boss. How are you using various data-based documents like self- assessment tools, classroom observation results, critical reflections, surveys, research-based teacher development needs, and students’ assessment results to guide your selection of teacher development needs? Interviewee Meron kasi tayong ginagawa e isa SAT yun dba, yung self-assessment tool na tinatawag. Doon nalalaman yung kailangan di ba. Makikita mo agad don yung need ng isang teacher. Although may mga ano don na di na kailangan ng teacher pero kailngan niyang i-sustained. Isa lang yun. Pati rin sa COT during observation, doon mo makikita yung weaknesses at strength ng isang teacher. Tulad ko, nakikita ko yung isang teacher na ang weakness ay sa area na yun so kailangan kong i-guide siya. Ngayon kung ang strength niya yung isang area na yun dinadagdagan ko or kailngan niyang i-sustain yung area na yun o kailngan niyang i-develop pa or i-enhance pa kasi yun na yung strength niya eh. Interviewer Opo boss. How do you form your LACs in school? Interviewee How do we form our LAC? Ah ganito kasi yun sa admin kasi including the principal and the 4 head teachers may kanya kanya kaming assignment na. Kasi every month LAC session natin diba, so each month may nakatuka kung sino ang in charge na head teacher. Yung head teacher naman na yun siya ang bubuo ng kanyang team to implement the LAC for the month. Halimabawa ako yung in-charge so pipilin ko yung mga teachers na tutulong sakin under sa department ko para maging team ko sa LAC session naming for the month na kami ang in-charge. At ang lalong lalong kukunin ko sa team ay kapag may demonstration teaching kami sa session ay ang unang una kung kukunin is master teacher at key teachers. At kukuha ka rin ng mga kasama mo na magfacilatator siyempre. Pero ang LAC leader don is stil the principal. Ako as the head teacher ay facilitator pero kailngan ko pa rin kumuha ng mga teachers para maging kasama ko sa LAC team. Interviewer Okay po. And hat is the seating arrangement of your LACs during LAC sessions? Interviewee Ah depende kung ano yungtopic sa LAC session. Let’s say for example, kung minsan departmentalized kasi don natutulungan yung bawat department to come up with a result don sa department nila. Kapag individual yung result kahit sila puwedeng umupo. Pero yung output eh as a department puupo sila sa kani kanilang department. Interviewer Okay po boss. How often do you conduct LAC sessions boss? Interviewee Monthly, monthly and LAC session naming dito. Pero minsan due to overlapping of activities hindi napa-follow minsan yung date. Kasi usually sa secondary every 16th of the month pero minsan kasi nagpo-fall kasi yang date nay an sa Saturday or Sunday kay umaabot kami ng mga 21 na date sa pagka- conduct ng lac SESSION namin. Pero may bago naman directives di ban a kahit hindi sundin yung date as long na you conduct the LAC session in that month walang problema. Interviewer How long do you meet in you LAC session boss? Interviewee 4 hours lang naman yun di ba? 1to 5 pm. Generic nay un. Nakalagay na sa LAC plan yun na kada oras may gagawin from strat to end nakalagay lahat sa LAC plan yun. Interviewer Opo boss. How do you meet or communicate for example face to face or virtual)? Interviewee Ah face to face sa LAC session namin. Interviewer Okay po boss. How do you select the resource persons for your LAC sessions? Interviewee Ayy kung sino yung expert sa topic na yun siya ang magiging resource speaker naming. For example, kung sino yung nakapag-undergo for such training na ita-tackle un siya ang magigig speaker. If the topic is not their expertise siyempre nagi-invite kami. But usually to augment expenses kung sino yung nakakaalam or nag-attennd sa seminar nay un siya ang isinasalang namin. Interviewer Okay po boss. How do you obtain material resources for the LAC sessions for example supplies, worksheets, videos, equipment, budget, food, and venues? Interviewee Ah for the training materials wala nmn problema kasi ibinibigay lahat ng school yun sa min. pag ang department na in-charge sa LAC na yun sila ang bahala makipag-coordinate sa supply officer naming kung ano ang kailangan nila sa session. For the food naman we usually geeting it from the canteen fund. Kasi sa school namin mahirap gumamit ng MOOE kasi kaka-direct release lang namin. Nasa transmission period pa lang kami kya mahirap muna magrequest sa MOOE namin Interviewer How well do teachers aware of their roles during LAC sessions? Interviewee They are all aware of their roles steph. Aware na aware sila. Kasi mayroong output na ipi-prsent after ng session kaya lahat nagpaparticipate. So hindi lang yung attendance nila ang kailangan kundi parin yung utak nila kasi talagang sasagot silang lahat sa tatanuningin at gagawin nila ang ipinapagawa ng speaker. Interviewer Can you describe the coordination among your LAC members, leaders, facilitators, and resource persons throughout the LAC process? Interviewee It is well planned and well-coordinated Kasi sa admin nagmi-meeting na kami prior to the conduct of LAC session kung kalian gaganapin yung LAC session. Kaya walang hassle sa pagconduct ng Lac Session samin kasi nakapalno na lahat pero kapag na-cancel ang LAC session naming sa araw nay un kasi may unforeseen event na mangyayari. Sinisigurado naming na maika-conduct naming yung session a week after ng incident nay un. Interviewer Okay po boss. Then, what are your established group norms for LAC sessions? Interviewee Siguro yung mga each of the department are given assignment in the conduct of LAC sessions lahat ng department headed by the department head na kung saan sa bawat department nabibigyan ng chance na makipag usap sa principal ng masinsinan na kung saan about sa LAC session. Interviewer Okay po boss. How conducive is the learning environment for your LACs? Interviewee It is conducive kasi open air naman. How do teachers in your school respect one another during LAC activities? Interviewee Of course di natin makilalaila na minsan may mga kumukontra sa mga sinasabi mo or mga sinasabi ng speaker about sa topic kasi di naman masasabi na 100 percentna perfect yung session. Dahil maraming faces ng participant na may nakikinig, nakiki-ayun, kumukontra may hindi nakikinig pero nasa faci nay un kung paano niya ika-catch yung attention ng mga participants pero mayroon talagang time na di mo maiiwasan na magkaroon ng pasaway na participant na lagging kumukontra sa sinasabi mo as faci. Pero mga healthy relationship lang ang mga yan eh. Kasi pag may nagtatanong mas nagiging malinaw sa kanina kapag may sagot na malinaw galling sa speaker, kumbaga to savor the food that we are going eat for the day kailangan muna itong dumaan sa process di ba. Interviewer Okay po sir. What sources are you usually using during the operationalization of your LACs? Interviewee Ah tulad ng sabi ko sayo kanina, kasi ang expenses naman sa LAC namin is minimal compared sa INSET. Kasi minsan per donation yan. Kung may magbi-birthday sa araw nay un or may promotion na magaganap. Sila ang magpapameryenda. Pero kung wala naman canteen fund lang naman. Sa materials kasi may supply kami. Every month bumibili kami ng supply kaya walang problema. Interviewer Okay po boss. How do you prepare LAC plans? Interviewee Kung sino yung in-charge sa LAC session nay un sila ang magpi-prepare ng LAC plan at kailangang ma-approve naming sa admin yung LAC plan together with the topic bago mapunta kay principal. Interviewer Who writes the LAC Plan? Interviewee Tulad din ng sinabi ko kanina kung sino ang in-charge sa LAC session sila ang gagawa ng LAC plan and it will be approved by us department head at magno- note na lang si principal kung gusto niya yung topic or hindi. Interviewer How are these plans being integrated or linked in your School Improvement Plan (SIP) or the Annual Implementation Plan (AIP)? Interviewee Kasi in the crafting of SIP lahat ng activities nandon na eh for three years. Kasali ang mga yan na nabibigyan ng plan. May mga action plan for that area eh. Kasi the SIP will tell you kung ano yung mga activities development na gagawin nga school for the next three years kaya integrated yang LAC session nay an kasi nga institutionalized ang LAC kay integrated ito sa SIP at AIP natin together with the INSET kasi bina-budgetan naman talaga yan eh. Interviewer Okay po boss. Usually, what are the forms of your LAC activities? Interviewee Oh nag-try kami minsan na departmentalized kumbaga simultaneous yung session pero we do not convene as one kasi baka yung need namin na department is hindi need ng ibang department. Ginawa namin to twice. Napunta kami sa iba’t ibang room at nagdiscuss ako na deparment head sa mismong handle ko na tecahers at ganun din sa iba. Interviewer Okay po sir. In what ways do teachers in your school collaborate during LAC sessions? Interviewee Ah siguro sa workshop kasi participative sila lahat eh at lahat puro attentive sa recitation kasi they knoiw their roles talaga sa LAC session na kailangan nilang making kasi its for their own good naman. Parang we convene as one pero sa paggawa ng output departmentalized. For the bettr outcome of the presentation of output. Interviewer Okay po boss. Is there an individual or group action plan for the implementation of agreed activities as an outcome of your LAC session that would be implemented or applied in the classroom? Interviewee Kasi ganito yun ei. Sa LAC session di naming ginagawan ng action plan eh. Pero may mga agreed activities kami pero ang sinasabi naming dapat Makita naming to sa classroom iobservation niyo at sa DLL ninyo. Yun palagi ang sinasabi naming sa kanila. Interviewer Okay po boss. How do the teachers in your school report the implementation of agreed activities in the classroom? Interviewee Through accomplishment report. Just like in my case, they are require to submit their monthly accomplishment report regardless na wala silang na- accomplished. Sasabihin ko lang don Not accomplished.
