ACTIVITY DESIGN

October 30, 2019

Title: Gift – Giving Activity
Date of Implementation: December 07, 2019 (tentative)
Venue: To be determined by our PSWDO
Participants: Employees of the Provincial Treasury
Recipient: 100 Indigent children

Introduction:
Every Christmas, we are reminded of the old adage “It’s better to give than to receive.”
This rings true to us at Provincial Treasury Office, as every year we look for ways to give and
share our blessings to children in need—Christmas or not. But given this magical season, we
wanted to make Christmas a little brighter and merrier for the children.
We all know how great it feels to receive gifts. Truly giving from the heart fills your
life with joy and nourishes your soul. Giving provides an intrinsic reward that’s far more
valuable than gift. As Mahatma Gandhi said, “To find yourself, lose yourself in the service of
others.”1 Giving takes you out of yourself and allows you to expand beyond earthly limitations.
True joy lies in the act of giving without an expectation of receiving something in return.

OBJECTIVES:
The Gift – giving activity, aims to:
1. Reach-out and share our blessings to the needy.
2. Spring joy and inspiration to the recipient and their families;
3. Appreciate the concept of “GIFT - GIVING” in the fulfillment of life.

CONTENTS
The teambuilding activity will be conducted in a day. The office will focus on:
1. Giving gifts packs and providing simple snacks to the recipient and their
families; and
2. Conducting games for the children.
