    People love
    to join together during these festivals.
    Good morning one and all,
    Here I am to speak about my favorite festival.
    My favorite festival is Onam. It is the biggest and the most important
    festival in the state of Kerala. It is a harvest festival and is celebrated all
    over the state by people of all communities. According to a popular legend,
    the festival is celebrated to welcome King Mahabali, who is said to visit
    Kerala at the time of Onam.
    Onam is usually celebrated in the month of August or September. We all
    wear new dresses, make floral carpets and have ‘sadya’ on the day of
    Onam. In fact, Onam is a day of happiness.
