By virtue of being a 100% natural Yoga mat there is no

toxicity harm from chemicals synthetics like PVC
(Polyvinyl Chloride) through contact or through off-
gassing and breathing it in.
To make PVC mats soft plasticizers are added that

create additional phthalates. Phthalates are known for
causing developmental issues and cancer.
The Herbs with which the Yoga mats are made is also
beneficial for the health. Tulsi is stress reliever so the
Yoga practice become more efficient. Neem and

Yoga and Ayurveda being sister sciences, we are

inspired to bring Ayurveda into the modern yoga
practice starting with the Yoga mat.
With the input/feedback from active yoga practitioners,

we went back to the drawing board several times
revising the weave pattern/design to enhance
functionality.
After many iterations of sample development, we're

excited to have come to a design that provides the
most grip surface & on the floor and is patent-
worthy!!
The Yoga-Sutra Nirvana mat offers an extraordinarily

natural feel that amplifies the experience of well being

Yoga-Sutra Wellness Fabrics is a branch of

Ayurveda, a 5000 year old system of medicine
from India. Yogavastra in Sanskrit translates to
"Yoga" health & "Vastra" fabric "fabrics for
health".
The knowledge of incorporating Ayurveda into

fabrics has been around thousands of years as
shown on Thaliyola (writing on palm leaf).
India's traditional weaver's heirs to a 2,000-
year-old textile industry are drawing on recipes
once used exclusively by weavers to the Indian
royal courts to revive this ancient technique,
using the wisdom passed on from their
ancestors who had profound knowledge of
Ayurveda.

dyeing fabrics using medicinal plants and herbs to

chemical/synthetic dyeing.
"Yoga-Sutra" is based on the Ayurvedic principle that

regular contact with a cloth made from the yarns
infused with organic herbs and medicinal plant extracts
