School Administrative of SMK Rantau Panjang headed by the principal YM Hajah Raja
Rozita Bt Raja Hanafi. Some of its duties of the school principals are as the general
administration , school supervisors, students and school staff and financial managers. But her
duties was assisted by senior assistant teachers and school clerk.

2.2 THE ROLES OF TEACHERS


2.2.1 PRINSIPAL
2.2.1.1 Role
1. Responsible in curriculum and co-curriculum development
2. Ensure the implementation was followed by Ministry of Education and RRPPS.
3. Responsible in school management, administration and financial.
4. To create two ways interaction with the communities and the outsiders/

2.2.1.2 Task
1. Curriculum Manager (professional job)
a. Supervise and control school objective and policy followed by Ministry of
education policy.
b. To determine the school aim, planning the improvement of teaching and learning
process.
c. To ensure the teacher teach follow by scheme of work and syllabus based on the
rate time
d. Supervise and absorbed the process teaching and learning.
e. To marked and update the teacher’s record book, student’s report book, profile
book, students’ attendance book and curriculum’s book.
f. To determine the policy of curriculum’s activity.

2. Student Development
a. To ensure the implementation of students development program such as self-
management skills, learning and motivation skills.
b. To determine the implementation of school discipline policy.

2.2.2 SENIOR ASSISTANT


2.2.2.1 Role
1. Replace the principal when the principal is not in the school
2. Teach a few periods followed the principal order
3. Responsible to principal in curriculum, administrations, society’s relationship and school
safety
4. Assist the principle in the school administration in afternoon session.
5. Assist the principle in supervises and evaluates teaching process

2.2.2.2 Tasks

1. Curriculum
a. Determine lesson plan for daily, weekly and school sessions
b. Ensure all the panels’ subject is operational.
c. Assist in preparing education instruments, library, labs and workshop
d. Assist in planning and coordinate all the aspects that relate with the evaluation and
examinations and planning the actions.
e. Assist all the teachers’ development training in school.
f. Arrange all the timetables and teachers and prepare relief teachers.

2. Management
a. Assist in determining teachers and school staff.
b. Assist in coordinating all the examinations, seminar and training for teachers and
staff.
c. Assist in planning school calendar.
d. Assist in planning school annual budget.
e. Coordinate in preparing finance statement for audition
f. Coordinate all the school fees.

a. Assist in planning and coordinate all school culture, purity and cleanliness of the

a. Develop reading culture and knowledge culture.

2.2.3 SENIOR ASSISTANT STUDENTS AFFAIR


2.2.3.1 Role
1. To relief the principal and senior assistant task when they are not in the school
2. To teach a few period followed by principal instructions
3. Responsible to the principal in the counselling, safety and student welfare, textbook,
scholarship, school canteen and etc.
4. Help the principal in the school administration that have afternoon session.
5. Help the principal in all planning and school management aspect.

2.2.3.2 Task (Handles the Development of Students)


1. Discipline
a. To ensure the school rule and regulation are running
b. To be Advisor Prefect school teacher
c. To take the suitable action toward the students that not abide the school rules and
regulation.
d. To prepare the discipline record and student report
e. To create two way interaction between school and parents.

2. Guide and Counselling

a. Plan and adjust the implementation of the Counselling and Guidance Program
together the counselling teacher.
b. To adjust and prepare the counselling of students record and prepare the necessary

f. Planning and implement the program of prevent the drug and other programs at
school
g. To ensure the safety precaution of students at the school.

2.2.4 SENIOR ASSISTANT CO-CURRICULUM AFFAIR

1. To relief the role of principal when she/he is not in school
2. To teach a few period by following the instruction of principal
3. To help the principal in the school administration in case the school has an afternoon
session.

2.2.5.1 Roles

1. Replace the role of Principal and Senior Assistant Teachers if they are not in the school.
2. Teach the students a few periods according Principle order.
3. Responsible as Principal in administration in all school management aspects in afternoon
session.
4. Assist in nurturing relationship between the teachers in the morning and afternoon session.
5. Assist the Principal in supervise and evaluate the teacher for teaching and learning in
school.
6. Assist the Principal in planning and management aspects in school.

2.2.5.2 Task

1. Curriculum

a. Assist all aspects of teaching and learning in afternoon session.


b. Arrange the timetable, teachers and prepare the relief schedule for teachers.
c. Manage the usage of the library ,radio program and education channel and others
d. Manage the management and guidance activities in afternoon session
e. Manage examination and evaluation management.
f. Determine the implementation of education program in afternoon session.
g. Check the student’s books in randomly.

2. Co-curriculum

a. Manage the co-curriculum activities,/society /club/games and uniform unit.


b. Assist in planning the school co-curriculum calendar.
c. Plan the strategy of student’s participation in co-curriculum activities.

3. Management

a. Record all types of holiday that been taken by the teachers.


b. Manage all the fees and others subsidiaries
c. Manage all the staff lab, workshop working others in afternoon session.
d. Assist in planning school calendar
e. Assist in preparing school annual budget.
f. Check student’s attendance book in afternoon session.
g. Manage all the aspects students’ transition in afternoon sessions.

a. Ensure the setting of moral values in teaching and learning programs guidance and

5. Assist the principle in all planning and management education aspects that relate with the

2.2.6.2 Task

a. Contact with PKG District Educations Office and Educations State Library about
whatever information and assistance that been use in helping the school and
teachers.

2.2.7.1 Roles

1. Responsible in increase the academic quality and performance in examination of PMR and
SPM
2. Discuss about all these matters:
a. Teaching planning

c. Subject syllabus
d. Increase the teaching and learning system
e. Examination and evaluation
f. Teaching aids
g. Convalescence
h. Working training
i. The implementation of school academic planning for a long and short terms
j. Increasing student’s performance in subjects
k. Preparing SKU of panel for subjects
3. Take care the condition of exceptional room ( if have ) and others equipment of the subjects.
4. Operating 5 years school academic program.

2.2.8 EXAMINATION SECRETARY

2.2.8.1 Roles

1. Preparing examination table in school level


2. Preparing questions constructing table
3. Operating printing, distributing and place in keeping the question papers

2.2.9.1 Roles

1. Planning and supervise activities of society/club/uniform units.


2. Preparing the timetable for interactions of co-curriculum and meeting.
3. Balancing all society/club/uniform unit activities.
4. Preparing permission form for the parents for students involve in co-curriculum activities.
5. Ensure all the rules and regulation and meeting minutes are failing in effective.
6. Manage co-curriculum card/book.
7. Prepare form/book that been needed for co-curriculum activities.
8. Ensure annual meeting and community’s selection done every year in the date that been
decided.
9. Collect annual planning for reference and record.
10. Collect annual report and activities book for reference and record.
11. Make the whole annual report that describes activities and achievement of the school co-
curriculum.
12. Accomplish others tasks that been ordered by the principle currently.

2.2.10 SPORTS SECRETARY

2.2.10.1 Roles

1. Organize all school sports activity


2. To prepare sports activity calendar and schedule suitably with MSSD/ MSSS/ MSSM
activity
3. Prescribe student in sports house

2.2.11 CLASSROOM TEACHER

2.2.11.1 Roles

1. Class management and Organization


a. Form class organization, which comprises of form monitor, form monitor assistant,
treasurer.
b. To ensure AJK cleanliness distribute student to clear blackboard, sweep floor, wipe
window, arrange desk and chair, and throw rubbish
c. To ensure joy committee member always updating information notice board from
time to time, provide curtain and flower for class
d. Set things following have inside class:
i. Timetable
ii. Roster
iii. Class furniture such as student table, teacher table and blackboard
iv. Class motto, cleaning equipment such as broom, rubbish waste-paper
basket and scoop
v. Predetermined better fan and light in safe to be used
vi. Guide class organization appointed to carry out task.

2. Attendance schedule and attendance of student


a. Mark daily attendance schedule and stores attendance book in office
b. To ensure latest data of student in the class.

3. Education report, certificate stop, testimonial and card 001


a. To ensure each student having student development card

5. Textbook, scholarships and help


a. Ensure text book loan scheme in distribute to eligible student and ensure that books
in wrap and in write student’s name.
b. Update file SPBT from time to time.
c. Identify students that qualify to accept any other helps and reporting to welfare
teacher.

6. New student’s registration


a. Received new student intake from form coordinator.
b. Register new student into student intake book and get registration number new
student from student intake book of senior assistant of students’ affair.
c. Predetermined to receive progress card learn, card 001 from early school,
determine sports house and take personal details in need.

2.2.12 TEACHERS

2.2.12.1 Roles

1. Subject Teacher
a. Own understand, cam interpret and describe syllabus and description content the
subject
b. Carry out monthly test and assessment to students, record questions and test results

2.3 STAFF DEVELOPMENT

INTRODUCTION

1.1 Based on Policy Public Sector Human Resource Training Service Circular No.6/2005,
it is the responsibility of the Secretary General/Head of Department to ensure that their
members at all levels of the course at least seven days in a year.

1.2 Special Professional Council Meeting dated August 22, 2007 MOE decided BPG
as coordinators execute in-service training (LDP) KPM.

1.3 Professional Meeting No.7/2007 dated 21 November 2007 approved a concept


proposal Operations Training to Enhance Professionalism in field of Teaching and
Learning for Education Services, Ministry of Education with emphasis on the
operation of a school based in line with the concept of "let managers manage' and
teachers LDP practice outside countries that show the current teacher training focus is
on school-based training.

2. BACKGROUND

In-Service Training for PPP have been implemented by the others parties in the MOE
Division, State Department, District Department and schools according to their needs.
This situation resulted in the following issues:

2.1 Implementation of the LDP and Divisions JPN- stacking overlap.


2.2 Frequency of teachers leaving the school for the courses conducted by others
parties at the MOE.
2.3 Data PPP attends inconsistent and there is no accurate data base from an
information source.
2.4 Financial management (distribution and control provisions) less messy.
2.5 Some implementation of LDP has less effective and not fulfill real needs.

3. OBJECTIVE

In-service training has been implementation to achieve the following objectives:

3.1Increasing professionalism.
3.2 Expose teachers to the latest innovations in the field of education.
3.3 Increase knowledge and skills continuously professionalism.
3.4 Establish and strengthen the teaching of professional values and practices among
educators.
3.5 Elevating the teaching profession.

Bagi memenuhi syarat yang telah di tetapkan, pihak sekolah telah merancang

beberapa program kursus latihan dalaman untuk semua guru sepanjang tahun.

Perancangan pelaksanaan kursus ini telah ditetapkan dalam takwim sekolah

sebanyak 7 hari setahun. Setiap kursus yang perlu di hadiri ialah 6 jam. Kursus

ini akan memberi latihan kepada guru-guru merangkumi empat aspek iaitu:

 ICT dan Media Pendidikan – IMP

 Pedagogi – P

 Kepimpinan – K

 Motovasi & Kaunseling – MK

Guru-guru perlu memberi maklum balas setiap kali menghadiri kursus ini dengan mengisi borang

BEA0100 yang telah disediakan (Appendix 4). Maklum balas ini akan digunakan untuk penambah

baikan bagi kursus yang akan datang.
