Overlapping Activities in School
Every learner, the most preferred term used in the K to 12 program to refer to a
student, has to go through a lot of different activities in school. Some of those activities are
doing projects, joining contests, preparing reports, and many more. These activities take up
a huge amount of the learners’ time that sometimes may cause learners to have trouble
when managing their time. What can happen if the they have too much activities? Will they
still have time for other things?
Many learners work hard and they take time so their outputs will meet the
expectations of their teachers, but if there are too many activities they will have less time to
make all their outputs a good one.
They have to manage their time to fit all of the projects that they need to finish. They
need to take less time in making outputs because there are more projects that are waiting
to be finished. These may cause a learner to not produce good quality outputs because they
have less time to do so.
The overwhelming outputs make learners have less time for themselves. These may
cause a problem when it comes to health and these can also cause stress. Some learners
have so many outputs that they do not have enough time to sleep since they stay awake for
hours to finish them all.
There are also learners who eat less so they will have more time to make their
outputs. Eating less food can affect a one’s health. Because of the many outputs that they
have to finish, they do not get the nutrition they need to be active in school.
Learners will also have less time with their family and friends. They are too busy
finishing their activities that they do not have enough time to communicate and mingle
with other people. The overlapping activities can cause them to be isolated from others.
They may still be there physically but mentally they are separated from others because
their minds are filled with all the activities that they need to do.
The family and friends should actively and patiently support their children so they
can have more inspiration and they won’t feel separated from others. The learners should
also allot some time for other things and for themselves. Time management is the best bet
when it comes to overlapping activities. If the learners can manage their time well, they will
have less problems.
