    Title: Fire Forest Detection Prevention System

    Project Description
    Background of Idea:
    In our country, many people have been arrested over suspected involvement in
    massive forest fires in Indonesia, thousand hectares of ecologically rich land have
    been burned, engulfing the region in a thick toxic haze, the country's National
    Police spokesman Dedi Prasetyo said that 185 people had been arrested across six
    provinces hit by fires and four corporations were under investigation. He told that
    "99% of the forest and land fires occurred due to human factors.
    Fires and ensuing smog are a persistent problem during the summer months
    caused by slash and burn techniques to clear the land, the same practice that let to
    fires in the Brazilian Amazon earlier this year.
    As of this year, more than 328,000 hectares (about 800,000 acres) of land have
    been burned, hundreds of residents evacuated, and more than 9,000 personnel
    have been deployed to battle the flames, according to Indonesia's National Board
    for Disaster Management.
    Based on that case, our project will make about early prevention related to forest
    fires. The overall implementation in the future is able to give a warning of forest
    burning activities. Then the data will be sent to the server and the forest guards
    can send signals to the nearest local police and firefighters based on GIS
    (Geographic Information System). Sensors will be placed at several vulnerable
    points and will be monitored through online websites in real time.

    IOT System Component:

    1. Arduino Uno
    Arduino Uno is a microcontroller board based on the ATmega328P (datasheet). It
    has 14 digital input/output pins (of which 6 can be used as PWM outputs), 6
    analog inputs, a 16 MHz ceramic resonator (CSTCE16M0V53-R0), a USB
    connection, a power jack, an ICSP header and a reset button. It contains everything
    needed to support the microcontroller; simply connect it to a computer with a USB
    cable or power it with a AC-to-DC adapter or battery to get started.

    2. DHT 11 Sensor
    Sensor module that functions to sense temperature and humidity objects that
    have analog voltage outputs that can be further processed using a microcontroller.
    This sensor module is classified into resistive elements such as temperature
    measuring devices such as the NTC.
    The advantage of this sensor module compared to other sensor modules is in
    terms of the quality of the reading of more responsive sensing data that possess
    velocity in terms of sensing objects of temperature and humidity, and the data
    read is not easily interpreted.

    3. Sensor MQ 2
    Gas Sensor (MQ2) module is useful for gas leakage detection (home and industry).
    It is suitable for detecting H2, LPG, CH4, CO, Alcohol, Smoke or Propane. Due to its
    high sensitivity and fast response time, measurement can be taken as soon as
    possible. The sensitivity of the sensor can be adjusted by potentiometer.

    4. Buzzer
    An electronic component that can convert electrical signals into sound vibrations.
    This buzzer is commonly used in alarm systems.

    5. Ethernet Shield
    Ethernet Shield is a module used to connect Arduino to the internet using cable
    (Wired). Arduino Ethernet Shield is based on the Wiznet W5100 ethernet chip.
    Wiznet W5100 provides IP for TCP and UDP, which support up to 4 sockets
    simultaneously. To use it, the Ethernet and SPI libraries are needed. And this
    Ethernet Shield uses an RJ-45 cable to connect to the Internet, with an integrated
    line transformer and also Power over Ethernet.

    How the system works


    Temperature sensor will record all the latest temperature and humidity in the
    forest, also Smoke Detector and Gas Sensors will monitor if there are indications
    related to fire or abnormal activity (potential fire). Each sensor will be placed at
    each vulnerable point in a forest area far from the monitoring of the police post
    and forest guard.
    To get signals in remote areas of the forest using a radio link to get a centralized IP
    system, which will be used to send sensor data and alerts directly to the data
    monitoring center.
    If the temperature rises and the smoke detector exceeds the normal range (here I
    set it to 600 bar) an alert will appear and the buzzer will light up. Then the task of
    the forest guard is to simply press the alert button which this function will be
    implemented in the future to send signals to the local police and fire department
    to prepare and send the location of the forest fire according to the map.
