    1. (a) Discuss the steps in conventional design process. In which of these steps in design,
    computerisation is possible and how? (8)
    (b) List three software packages for CAD and CAE. (2)
    (c) List five advantages using CAD. (5)

    2. (a) Find the co-ordinates of a reflected triangle having vertices (2,4), (4,3) and (3,7)
    about an arbitrary line represented by y= 2x+2. Plot the transformed triangle. (9)

    (b) Write the transformation matrices for front view, top view and bottom view in
    orthographic projection. (6)

    3. (a) Explain parametric representation of any two conic sections in detail. (CO3) (8)

    (b) Elaborate the parametric representation of Cubic Spline. Find out the constant
    coefficients. (CO3) (7)
