Benefits of teaching practical life skills at school

 needed as soon as they leave school

 opportunity to learn early
Never before has been education at institutions more accessible for youngsters. Not only do
have students a vast range of obligatory subjects, but also a considerable number of
extracurricular activities is part of their timetable. That is why it is hotly debated whether or
not lessons on practical life skills should be included in students’ busy schedule. In the
following lines I intend to outline two benefits of teaching soft skills and to have my say
about the more pivotal one.
The first upside to consider is the opportunity to learn early. To begin with, such skills are
regarded as practical as they can be conducive to one at any age. To illustrate this, seldom
do parents find friends for their teenage offspring. However, youngsters build friendships on
their own and to do so, they need social skills such as effective communication. What is
more, younger people are able to learn more easily and will acquire those skills more
effectively, provided that they start earlier and have more time to master them.
Another advantage of teaching such prowess at school is the biggest need for it when
starting paddling your own canoe. For instance, a few freshmen are only prepared
theoretically for university and dropout, because they have not learnt how to handle with
their household, excessive amount of projects with others and finance management. In
addition, should those people do not acquire practical skills as soon as possible, they are
bound to fail many times.
In light of the above, I believe that the most crucial benefit which students can derive from
learning life-applicable skills at school, is that by the end of their school years, they will have
been more prepared for life as an adult. Moreover, it is more likely that they will succeed
under their thirties.
