Gear shift pattern

• Double H shift pattern.

• Rev,Crawler,1,2,3 & 4 Low range
 After achieving the max speed at
4th gear driver should push the
gear lever to his right side keeping
gear lever in neutral position.
 Then shift the gears
 5,6,7 & 8 High range
Range selection procedure
• Start the engine and keep in idle speed
• Push the gear lever to the LH side and
watch for the range indicator “Glow”
UPWRAD SHIFT
• Depress the clutch fully
• Select the LOW speed and engage
• Release the clutch gradually.
• Accelerate gradually
• After attaining the normal speed depress
the clutch and shift to I speed.
• In the similar manner progressively shift
up to IV speed.
• Now bring the gear lever to neutral
position and push to RH side with little
more effort.
• Now HIGH range is in selection with the
Range indicator “OFF”
Range selection procedure.
• Now shift to V speed ie to the I speed position.
• Progressively shift up to VIII speed.
DOWNWARD SHIFT
 To shift downward with reduced vehicle speed with application brake
and depressing the clutch shift down to VII speed.
 Progressively shift up to V speed
 Now to change in to low range
 Keep the gear lever in neutral and push towards LH side with little
more effort.
 Now the “LOW” range is in selection with indicator “ON”.
 Depress the clutch and engage IV speed.
 Now gradually shift down up to I speed
Note : Range selection should be done while driving the vehicle
in IV & V speed only.
Load gear “L” and Reverse shall be engaged only in low
range with vehicle at zero stop
Operating temperature
• Operating temperature
• It is important that the transmission operating temperature does not
exceed 120ºC
• for an extended period of time. Operating temperatures above 120º
C cause
• breakdown of the oil and shorten transmission life. The following
conditions in any
• combination can cause operating temperatures of over 120º C.
• Operating consistently at road speeds under 32Km/h
• High engine RPM
• High ambient temperature
• Restricted air flow around transmission
• Exhaust to close to transmission
• High horsepower, overdrive operation
• High power PTO operation for extensive periods while stationary
• High operating temperatures may require more frequent oil changes
and/or
• fitment of a cooler.
