Dr. Michio Kaku presented predictions for the future world of 2030 in his documentary. He foresaw advancements in technology like flexible smartphone screens, digital music purchases, and the ability to interact with historical figures through stored personality data. Some of his predictions have started coming true. His vision of driverless cars and using patient cells to 3D print replacement organs inspired hope for reduced accidents, longer lifespans, and a reimagining of healthcare. While his projections provide thought-provoking ideas, they remain speculative ideas that may or may not fully materialize.

“The Future World 2030”
The documentary of Dr. Michio Kaku’s it talked about his unique
perspective and background to predict what the future will be like. He made several predictions that made us think about the future world, predicting 10 years even 20 years from now that can possibly happen. By his predictions, we could notice the advancement of technology that there are things that can be possible in the near future. Human curiosity is such a big impact to the innovation of science technology. Just because of our curiosities, many brilliant ideas begin and it makes us do experimental to try new things that can either benefit us. Nowadays, some of the predictions of Dr. Michio Kaku’s are now possible to happen. Those predictions such as for the cellphones with flexible intelligent screens, it really surprised me because Apple Inc. decided to include to their new model of iPhone that allow the users to bend or fold the screen. As a research it, it was surprising to me because there are some manufacturers that can think that kind of concept. That they studied the flexible and organic light emitting diode (LED), so that they can release this kind of concept to the consumers. Also, the digitalization of capitalism, according to some music bosses people will always buy music the old fashioned way like the “plaka” and they refused to listen to the scientist. Now, people buy music in internet like iTunes, it is more accessible and we can listen to music everywhere. Lastly, the library of souls and immortality, according to him we will be able to interact with historical figures of the past about a person’s personality, history and information. As I heard what Dr. Michio Kaku’s prediction, I remembered one Korean Drama that has a similarity on what he predicted. In that, Korean Drama there is a person who are genius in programming and he come up to this concept which he made called “Big File”. Everyone can have save all information and even the annual income of that particular person. After, I watched that drama, it makes me think that the scriptwriters has a wide imagination because they can think that kind of concept even though it is impossible to have one, just like what Dr. Kaku’s prediction. In today’s generation, everyone has a wide imagination and it tends to explore and go beyond on their imagination that can lead them to do a experimentation. Some of Dr. Kaku’s prediction can actually help us such as the DNA chips, which he describe that it can able to scan for a possible cancer. For me, it can be helpful for us because by this chip it can detect the possible cancer before it get worse or severe and we can be aware on our health. According to Dr. Kaku’s prediction, in the future, our hospitals will resemble body shops. Clearing our body of cancer or getting to our ideal, healthy weight. Patient cells will be used to grow new, healthy organs, replacing whichever part of the body malfunctions. At first, I thought it was impossible because it will replace some of the body organs that malfunctions just by using the patient cells. However, I look at the positive side, it will be helpful to others because as they have the opportunity to live longer. Furthermore, the perfect capitalism is also a great help to consumers or buyers. We were no longer deceive by the other sellers who are not giving the right price of the products. Some of the possible predictions of Dr. Kaku’s that can happen 20 years from now are the digitalization of transportation, he stated that the cars is digitized in the next decade which can drive by themselves. Using this driverless car, the traffic jams and accidents can save people every year, which is, it will be great because it will decrease the rate or percentage of accidents in our country. Dr. Kaku’s quoted that “In the future, you’ll simply jump into your car, turn on the internet, turn on a movie and sit back and relax and turn on the automatic pilot, and the car will drive itself.” It simply means we were just sitting and watching them to move, while us we were not doing anything because the technology itself are the one who are doing everything for us. It’s a bit easier for us because we were not the one doing the complicated things, but at the second thought it’s is scarier because if all the his predictions in the future are might happen, we were just a human sitting and doing nothing. We were lazy to do our task just because we know that there’s a technology that we can depend on. We were just existed but all of these technologies are the one who do our job. The exponential growth in technological advancement has inspired futurists and physicists like Dr. Michio Kaku to form some rather exceptional predictions concerning our future. Dr. Kaku’s takes complex subjects and transforms them into common analogies bringing the exciting and unimaginable new prospects for human beings into focus. After watching the documentary of the future world by 2030, it made me think that because of science technology everything is possible, about the digitalization of transportation, medicine, education etc. and everything that can possibly turn into something different from today’s generation. Dr. Kaku’s prediction might possibly happen in the near future however, we should be aware that all of these are just mere idea in his imagination and as what he observe on what is happening now. Furthermore, it has positive and negative impact in our life if it can really happen. Therefore, science technology advancement can change the perspective of the people on how powerful technology is. It give us moral that we should take it easy and think before we develop and innovate new technology if it can be helpful to the society. That as humans our curiosity and wide imaginations can affect and influence in everything we do, that we must aware and limit ourselves. Those predictions of Dr. Kaku’s is a way of telling to everyone in every possible way that can happen and it can change today’s generation. He only convey the message of the possible future that we can encounter 20 years from now and we should be ready when that day comes.
