Two 2-week long coding camps for intense coding

All-year round program where high school students


are matched with a mentor and supported in their
CS-related endeavors.

Exposure to CS-related opportunities like coding


challenges, hackathons, research and internships.

Strong alumni network for participants of the

Between camp #1 and #2, students
keep honing their CS skills and
knowledge with trained local
instructors all year long.

Students are also paired with a mentor


(one of their student instructors from
camp #1) to guide them in their
endeavors and preparation for college.

Students work on need-finding and


ideation to eventually work on a
problem worth solving for their
communities in Coding Camp #2.
Program is expected to bring students close to one
another and build a supportive community for
students with similar goals and interests.

Stanford and Ivy League student instructors are an


invaluable resource for students who want to prepare
better for college and career.

Hopefully, Code for Mauritius alumni network will


spur the drive towards CS among the youth and
flourish the tech industry in the country, ultimately
making Mauritius the Tech Hub of Africa.

• It is the first of its kind in Mauritius! Our vision is to increase exposure to CS and
Vision CS-related opportunities that are lacking in Mauritius, also in line with the
country’s vision of making Mauritius a model tech hub for Africa.

• Our partner, Code.X, has successfully launched the program in Palestine in 2015
Piloted successfully and has enrolled 98 students across two locations. The program is now well-
established and recognized, is very selective, and happens annually.

• We provide high quality instruction through Stanford and Ivy League student
World-class instruction instructors, low student to instructor ratio, etc.

• The CS and DT/Entrepreneurship curriculum, coupled with mentorship of


Creating changemakers instructors, are conducive to changing mindsets and creating changemakers who can
leverage technology skills to solve problems in their communities.
