2-ii) What does Gantt chart/bar chart shows?


Ans: Bar/gantt chart shows the activities displays against time
on the left and the list of activities and along the top suitable
time and each activities is represented by the horizontal bar.

2-iii) Define the continuous and non-continuous activities in bar


chart with neat sketches.
Ans: Bar chart may be discontinuous if any activity cannot be
preformed continuously, it can be split. It does not need to have
a continuous representation.

The activity which can be performed continuously is called


continuous activities.
The activity which cannot be performed continuously is called
non-continuous activities.

Ans: The Gantt chart is discovered by Karol Adamiecki in 1890’s.
Karol Adamiecki is a Polish engineer.
It is improved by the scientist Henry Gantt in 1910, an American
engineer.
It was used for the planning of over dam and interstate HW in
USA.
