    PBS and Stand Up Cancer chose 100 Emperor Science Award recipients, out of 600 applicants
    nationally, to work with an esteemed university scientist on a rewarding multi-week research project.
    As part of this program, students were paired with mentors to work on a 12-week cancer research
    project in cancer treatment, including immunotherapy, precision medicine and epigenetics, and an
    impressive range of research, including cancer prevention, nanotechnology, cellular biology, and
    computational sciences.
