NOTES:
- Conditions of the calculation: Steel S280 GD, 7% roof slope, without deflection rods. Max. deflection: L/200. Simply supported.
- Tables valid for pre-design only. The project manager must make the structural calculation according to the applicable standard in
each country. Kingspan expressly declines any responsibility arising from the use of these tables.
- The values shwon in the table are allowable characteristic loads, unfactored (kN/m), uniformly distributed on the purlin. Therefore,
they must be compared with the addition of the characteristic linear loads (unfactored) for each particular project.
- These load tables correspond to the service stage, when the sheeting is effectively attached to the purlin and acts as a lateral restraint.
- It is considered that purlins are working only in bending and they are not part of the x-bracing system of the roof.
- It is assumed that the purlins are suspended on cleats in order to prevent web crippling of the purlins at the support.

SLEEVES AND CLEATS

Connecting sleeves and cleats are manufactured using galvanised steel, 3 mm thick, and used to allow purlin
continuity and their reinforcement in the supports. Punches and slotted holes are fully customisable on order.
