NOTES:
- Conditions of the calculation: Steel S280 GD, 7% roof slope, without deflection rods. Max. deflection: L/200. Simply supported.
- Tables valid for pre-design only. The project manager must make the structural calculation according to the applicable standard in
each country. Kingspan expressly declines any responsibility arising from the use of these tables.
- The values shwon in the table are allowable characteristic loads, unfactored (kN/m), uniformly distributed on the purlin. Therefore,
they must be compared with the addition of the characteristic linear loads (unfactored) for each particular project.
- These load tables correspond to the service stage, when the sheeting is effectively attached to the purlin and acts as a lateral restraint.
- It is considered that purlins are working only in bending and they are not part of the x-bracing system of the roof.
- It is assumed that the purlins are suspended on cleats in order to prevent web crippling of the purlins at the support.
