DESCRIPTION OF PAPER:
1. Course description: This course includes the basic fundamentals of antenna. Different types of
antennas and their properties are discussed. Directivity, gain, bandwidth of VHF UHF and Microwave
antennas are given. Radiation patterns are also discussed. Propagation of waves by using the above
antennas is described.
2.Scope and Objective of the course: Antennas are the essential communication link for aircraft and ships.
Antennas for cellular phones and all types of wireless devices link us to everyone and everything. Antennas
provide the vital links to and from everything out there. The future of antennas reaches stars.
