    Topic: Use of Contraceptives

    In todays world the current population of the world is about 7.7 billion and we are
    already experiencing Overpopulation. Overpopulation is one of the major economic issue that
    we are facing today because of many factors Poverty, Poor Contraceptive Use, Child Labor, and
    Reduced Mortality Rates. One of the solutions for overpopulation is Family planning and few of
    the methods of Family planning is the calendar method and barrier method or the use of
    contraceptives such as diaphragm, cervical cap, male condom, and female condom and
    spermicidal foam, pills, sponges, and film.

    There are sectors who are against the use of contraceptives, but for me the use of this is
    very essential because our population is rapidly increasing and it is not slowing down. There are
    advantages of hormonal birth methods of birth control, First, It is very effective against
    pregnancy, mostly for the teenagers today and the people who are knowledge deficit about
    Family planning. Teenagers now a days are very active sexually even here in the Philippines
    teenagers are not the same as teenagers back in 70' s that Is why About 500 teenage girls
    give birth in the Philippines every day as more adolescents engage in premarital sex, the
    Commission on Population raising concerns about early and unplanned pregnancies in the
    world's 13th most populated country.

    Teenagers getting pregnant at an early age cannot pursue their higher education due to
    extra responsibility, which increases the rate of literacy in society.The education of the teen
    mother remains on hold during pregnancy, and some teens even decide to drop out of their
    high school and find a job to supplement themselves.Teens who plan to attend college have to
    bear taunts, acidic remarks, and arrogant discourses from their peers about their pregnancy
    and baby. In such circumstances, teen moms decide to focus on the baby or plan to get married
    rather than pursuing a higher education.Teenage pregnancy statistics states that only one-third
    of teen moms can even acquire the high school diploma, and a few also get a college degree.A
    teenage mother has to face several social obligations like not getting a good job, not getting
    respect from friends and family members.The entire social life of the teen mother gets ruined
    due to her early and unexpected pregnancy, and she has to spend her life in emotional
    trauma.A teen mother who does not get proper financial support from her parents or friends
    has to face a severe financial crunch.She has to face extreme difficulty to buy basic items for
    her newborn baby like, clothing and baby care products.Teenage pregnancy increases the risk
    of spending the entire life in poverty for both the teen parents and the baby.

    As fewer teen mom attain proper educational degrees and qualifications, they cannot
    find suitable and well-paid jobs to improve their financial position.Teenage pregnancy is most
    of the time linked to the lower annual income of the mother. If we were on the foot of a
    teenage mother we also don't want to to experience those thing specially getting pregnant
    at an early age and the fact that we can't do abortion the best way of preventing is by the use
    of contraceptives .Contraceptive methods have a range of benefits other than their primary purpose of
    pregnancy prevention. Contraception reduces pregnancy-related morbidity and mortality, reduces the
    risk of developing certain reproductive cancers, and can be used to treat many menstrualrelated
    symptoms and disorders.a range of other beneficial health services are available to clients at family
    planning clinics. Services to prevent, screen for and treat diseases and conditions such as chlamydia,
    gonorrhea, HIV, HPV and cervical cancer, as well as to address intimate partner violence, benefit both
    female and male clients who visit these clinics.

    Use of contraceptives is very essential now a days and it was many benefits to us and it
    address many economic issues ,it can help us control our population, prevent un wanted pregnancy,
    and it can help us in preventing from being infected with diseases which can be acquired if you
    have sexual intercourse. Many will agree or disagree in terms of using of contraceptives but for me I
    stand with those who are open minded and agrees that the use on compensation is essential.
