Question on the concern

Online Updates - Once the software product is installed, will it require any sort of
real time or scheduled updates from any IBM or related sites in order to work? If yes,
kindly explain and mention the source and purpose.

License Keys/Authorization Keys -

A). Does the software require any License Keys or Authorisation Keys in order to be
installed/operated?
B). If license keys/authorization keys are required, can they be re-used for
reinstallation ?
C). Do these license keys come with an expiry date, or can they be used for an
indefinite period (Perpetual)?
D). Kindly mention the source and the link to download these license keys ?

Appliance- Is the software an "Appliance -Physical/Virtual”? If so, please describe the

full stack.

Cloud Software -Is this cloud only software (i.e SaaS with IBM, Public cloud offering
from IBM) ?
Concern (explained in detail)

Certain IBM software products require "other" software updates in order to

function properly. BigFix Compliance for example requires catalog updates
for PCI Compliance validation etc which is a subscription type update which
comes from a difference set of IBM servers. The customer will not be
entitled to these after the S&S expiry date, therefore making the software
"not fit for purpose" and not a product Origina can support.

If a software product requires a license key to install the product we need

to know how that is obtained.
Some IBM products require going to an IBM portal in order to log in and
access/generate the license key. Access to this portal may be restricted
after the S&S expiry date, which would leave the customer exposed if this
was the case.
A scenario we would want to avoid is where the customer's system crashes
and the software needs to be re-installed. Not having the license key would
prevent this and cause a serious outage for the customer. Even worse, if
the key only has a certain time-limit and has to be regenerated every 12
months for example - we need to understand how that process works and
if the customer loses access to the license key portal if they let their S&S
drop with IBM.

Certain products are a bundle of IBM xSeries servers, Operating Systems,

databases and the IBM software product which are sold as a solution.
Origina cannot support Appliances which contain a hardware element.
Some appliances are "virtual" in nature and Origina may be able to support
these. These appliances are not HW based, but maybe deployed on
VMware/Docker etc - In your answer. state if a hardware appliance ? If a
software /Virtual appliance, describe all of the software components
included ( eg. RedHat Linux, DB2,etc.)

If on cloud, how is it deployed eg. Operating System, Cloud provider,

hardware,etc.
Answer (In case of a no, just mention 'No'; explain in detail
in case of a 'Yes')
