Asserayah Hasyimiyah Palace or commonly known as Siak Sri Indrapura Palace was built in
1889 during the reign of Sultan Syarif Hasyim by German architects. The palace was
completed in 1893 with a mixture of Arabic, Malay, and European architecture. Formerly,
this palace was used as the official residence of Sultan Siak. But now, along with the end of
government in the Kingdom of Siak, this palace was converted as a tourist place to invite
visitors to see the greatness and splendor of the kingdom Siak past.
To enter into the palace area, visitors are required to buy tickets first. The ticketing place is

surrounded by large mirrors and hundreds of years old ceramics and is the original relic of the
Siak empire.

In one corner of the palace's central room, there is also a mirror of the empress made of
crystal. The mirror is classic. Anyway, if you visit this palace, do not forget to take a photo in
front of the mirror.

Siak Sri Indrapura Palace consists of 2 floors and has 2 pieces of wing, on the left and right.
Before going up to the 2nd floor, Abang and I walked around looking at the collections on
both wings first.
On the right wing, there is a long table that looks like a meeting table. This table is classic
and feels magnificent with the presence of other furniture such as flower vases and crystal
chandeliers.

In one corner of the room on the right wing, there is a classical musical instrument that comes
from Germany. This instrument is called Comet.
Comet is a gramophone musical instrument made of steel and contains classical instrumental
music in the 8th century by the work of world renowned composers: Bethoveen, Mozart, and
Strauss. Reportedly, this comet instrument is only 2 pieces in the world, 1 in Germany and 1
again in this Siak palace. It is said that this comet in Siak was brought by Sultan Siak XI in
1896 when he visited Europe

On the left wing there are also various palace relics since ancient times. There are dishes and
dinnerware specially ordered from Europe. There are also some relics of letters since the
reign of the kingdom of Siak and various attributes of the past kingdom, such as royal
umbrella, etc..
The last Sultan in the government of Siak Kingdom whose name is immortalized as airport

To go upstairs, there are 2 stairs that functioned as a ladder up and down stairs. Please note,
the maximum number of visitors on the top floor is 50 people. Therefore, if visitors are busy,
we have to take turns to go upstairs.

Upstairs there are chambers that used to function as a room and rest room sultan. Along the
corridors upstairs, many photographs of royal activities in ancient times, such as photos
during the ceremony, photos during the guest appointment, and so on.
Inside the chambers are kept a variety of royal relics, such as cooking utensils, clothing
stores, etc.. Even in one of the booths were kept neat clothes and shoe consort, as well as a
vest that the sultan used as a baby.

All of Siak royal treasures stored in this palace are still very good condition. All stored neatly
inside tightly locked glass case. In each item is also prepared a brief description of the goods.
If visitors want to know more about this palace, the castle guards will be happy to tell briefly
about the history of this palace. Based on the information I got, the last sultan who received
the mandate to become sultan in the kingdom of Siak is Sultan Syarif Kasim who now his
name is enshrined into the name of the city of Pekanbaru airport.
