F. Solutions:
1. (2x + 5) – (3x – 9) = -x + 14
2. Twenty years ago, his age was represented by (3x + 4) years old. Then his age 15 years hence
must be (3x + 4) + 20 + 15 = 3x + 39 years old
3. Since the length is represented by (4x-3x) cm and its width is twice its length or width = 8w–6x,
then the area must be represented as (4w – 3x)cm • (8w – 6x)cm = 32w² - 48 wx + 18x² sq. cm.
4. Perimeter = (2x – 5) meters + 2 (2x + 5) = 6x + 5 meters
