Fresh Water- Fresh water is generally characterized by having low
concentrations of dissolved salts and other total dissolved solids.
Salt water- Salt water is water with salt in it. It often means the water from the seas (sea water) and oceans Brackish water- Brackish water is salt water and fresh water mixed together. It is saltier than fresh water, but not as salty as seawater. River (fresh water) - a large natural stream of water flowing in a channel to the sea, a lake, or another such stream. The River Cagayan is locally referred to as the Rio Grande de Cagayan. It is the longest river in the Philippines. Lake (fresh water)- A lake is an area filled with water, localized in a basin, that is surrounded by land, apart from any river or other outlet that serves to feed or drain the lake Lake Caliraya is a man-made lake situated in the municipalities of Lumban, Cavinti, and Kalayaan in Laguna province, Philippines. Created in 1939, the lake has developed as a popular spot for water sports and outdoor recreation including fishing.. Stream (Fresh water) - A stream is a body of water with surface water flowing within the bed and banks of a channel. Hinulugang Taktak- Hinulugan Taktak, is a protected area located in Rizal, Philippines. Initially assigned as a recreation area, the waterfall area has been designated as a national park. Pond (fresh water) - A pond is an area filled with water, either natural or artificial, that is smaller than a lake. Pangasinan Koi pond- A place for all age-groups, the Koi Pond offers a venue for relaxation by watching and feeding the koi fishes. Estuary (brackish water) - An estuary is a partially enclosed coastal body of brackish water with one or more rivers or streams flowing into it, and with a free connection to the open sea. Hinatuan River - Found in Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur, this river flows into the Philippine Sea and the Pacific Ocean. The water has different blue shades, with its centre being a darker blue hue. Brook (brackish water) - A brook is a small stream or river. San Luis Brook - Brook near the Mother Falls in San Luis, Aurora, Philippines. Marsh (brackish water) - A marsh can often be found at the edges of lakes and streams. Agusan Marsh - Agusan Marsh is one of the most ecologically significant wetlands in the Philippines. Found in the heart of Mindanao's Agusan Basin. Mangrove swamp (brackish water) - A mangrove swamp is a distinct saline woodland or shrubland habitat formed by mangrove trees. Mangrove forest is one of the vital ecosystems in tropical countries. Philippines has a lot of mangrove swamp and One of the famous is the Mangrove forest in Palawan. Bay (salt water) – A bay is a recessed, coastal body of water that directly connects to a larger main body of water, such as an ocean, a lake, or another bay. Manila Bay - Maynila Bay is a natural harbor which serves the Port of Manila (on Luzon), in the Philippines. Cove (salt water) - A cove is a small type of bay or coastal inlet. Sohoton Cove - Sohoton Cove in Surigao del Norte - One of the most admired tourist spots in Mindanao, the journey to Sohoton Cove of the Bucas Grande Island is pure bliss. Sea (salt water) - The sea, the world ocean or simply the ocean is the connected body of salty water that covers over 71% of Earth's surface. Camotes sea - The Camotes Sea is a small sea within the Philippine archipelago, situated between the Eastern Visayan and the Central Visayan regions. Gulf - A gulf is a large inlet from the ocean into the landmass, typically with a narrower opening than a bay.
