7 Rebuilding Instructions

7.1 Rebuild Older MEK for CPM-1300

This section describes how to rebuild older MEK so they can use the new
Communication Platform (CPM-1300).

7.1.1 Kit B0021154

This is an upgrade kit from MEK-2000/2200/2300 to CPM-1300 func-
tionality. .

Delivery Contents in Kit B0021154:

CPM-1300 complete

Processor card

Binary contact with screws

2 x Adapter plate (one for MEK-2000/2200 and one for MEK-2300)

Gasket (only for MEK-2000/2200)

8 x Distances (4 x 18 mm and 4 x 25 mm)

Optical card cable (only for MEK-2000/2200)

6 x Screws (4 x 25 for MEK-2300, 2 for MEK-2000/2200 incl. lock washers)

O-ring (only for MEK-2300)

7.1.1.1 Actions
1. Switch off the power to the MEK and to the junction box.
2. Remove the transmitter cable.
3. Remove the junction box.
4. Mount the CPM-1300 according to the CPM-1300 User manual.
5. Remove the lid to the MEKs processor card.
6. Remove the old processor card.
7. Remove the four screws that holds the transmitter cable contact.
8. Remove the transmitter cable contact.
9. Mount the new contact with appropriate adapter plate and the two/
four screws. Use the gasket if it is a MEK-2000/2200 and the o-ring
if it is a MEK-2300.
10. Mount the new processor card (use the distances if it is a MEK-2000/
2200) and connect the 3 cables to the card.

11. For MEK-2000/2200, change the cable to the optical card.

12. Mount the lid.
13. Connect the CPM-1300 to the MEK according to the CPM-1300 and
MEK-2500 User manuals.

7.1.2 Kit B0021204

This is an upgrade kit from MEK-2400 to CPM-1300 functionality..

7.1.2.1 Actions
1. Switch off the power to the MEK and to the junction box.
2. Remove the transmitter cable.
3. Remove the junction box.
4. Mount the CPM-1300 according to the CPM-1300 User manual.
5. Remove the lid to the MEKs processor card.
6. Remove the old processor card.
7. Remove the four screws that holds the transmitter cable contact.
8. Remove the transmitter cable contact complete with cable.
9. Mount the new contact with the four screws, o-ring, and the adapter
plate.
10. Mount the new processor card and connect the 3 cables to the card.
11. Mount the lid.
12. Remove the old sticker on the MEKs back end, and mount the new.
13. Connect the CPM-1300 to the MEK according to the CPM-1300 and
MEK-2500 User manuals.
