Call to Order

Good morning Ladies and Gentlemen. We are about to begin the opening program so please find
a seat and make yourself comfortable. Thank you.

Prayer & National Anthem


To begin our auspicious event this morning, let us lend our ears and open our hearts as we
invoke the presence of the Almighty God in prayer. May we request everyone to stand up in
prayer. After which let us pay tribute and respect in the singing of the national anthem

Ladies and gentlemen
A very pleasant morning to everyone and welcome to this year’s District Secondary Schools
Press conference with the theme: Empowering Communities through Campus Journalism. I am
Sir Ram and I am Ma’am Christine and we are your emcees for today. But before we start with
this day’s event may I ask first a question to everyone?

We thank you all for gracing this event. Most especially sa St Augustine’s School for their
generosity in allowing us to hold this event in their humble abode.
We are delighted to welcome every delegate, and extend the warmest welcome to those who
have traveled from distance. We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for your presence at
this event. It is indeed a pleasure to have you all today. We are looking forward to meet you, hear
and share your views with us because Education and learning open a new door to a world of
progress.

Message of Thanks from school


The event has almost come to an end but as the famous maxim goes, “”We do not remember
days; we remember moments”” . As we proceed and continue on our different paths in
responsible journalism, may this day be memorable for all of us.

Closing Remarks
Well, I believe that’ s about everything ladies and gentlemen. We have finally come to the end
of our occasion. It has been a great day and a wonderful afternoon with all of you. Again thank
you all for your presence. God bless and good day to each and every one of you.
