Description:-
This Module consists of basic thermocouple transducer, electric heater water bowl,
Ice Bath and a digital temperature indicator and calibration potentiometer, with necessary
circuit and associated components housed in a Double Din Box are provided. Ice Bath &
Heater with Bowl are provided for minimum & maximum calibration.
With the help of this set-up student himself can study the calibration process and
basic aspects of Temperature measurement devices.
Introduction:-
In 1821, Thomas Seebeck discovered if metals of two different materials were
joined at both ends and one end was at a different temperature than the other, a current
was created. This phenomenon is known as the Seebeck effect and is the basis for all
thermocouples.
