The training report summarizes a 5-day training course on the Foxboro EVO configuration essentials using Foxboro I/A Series software. The training covered topics such as EVO hardware components, IACC software, continuous control concepts, building process displays, alarms, and system management. Key areas of learning included control configuration, environment configuration, and using applications like FoxDraw to build process displays and trends. The goal was to demonstrate how to access environments, displays, and configurators in IACC and build a simple feedback loop.

System Definition Introduction to System Management LEARNING:
1. EVO Hardwares & Equipment Overview
List the basic hardware components of an EVO network, including their functions and interrelationships. 2. Software Overview Demonstrate the method of accessing environments, displays and IACC Configurators, and describe the purpose of these Configurators. 3. Continuous Control Concepts Describe compound and block concepts and how the AIN, PID and AOUT blocks are used in a typical feedback loop. 4. Control Configuration Build a simple loop and download it to a control station. 5. Process Control Default Displays Use default displays to test the operation of a compound consisting of continuous control blocks. 6. Building Process Displays with FoxDraw Operate FoxDraw to build a process display. 7. Configuring Process Displays with FoxDraw & Trends Utilize FoxDraw to configure process displays & trends 8. Environment Configuration Describe the attributes of IACC environments and how they are implemented using the associated text files, and describe the file structure in an I/A Series 70 station 9. Alarm Notification & Configuration Configure a predefined alarm scheme and introduction of CAD. 10. System Definition Use the System Definition application to import a pre-defined configuration, add a CP and its software, assign a host and attach it, check the new configuration, and generate a commit diskette. 11. Introduction to System Management Describe System Management components and utilize the soft-keys located on the initial SMDH displays.
